About

Transform your Garmin fēnix® 8 into a Health & Wellness center. The n of 1 Watch Face is designed for performance, longevity, and daily wellbeing, focusing on helping you use your health data, not just collect it. Warning: this is not a medical advice watch face nor is it intended to treat or diagnose any health condition. The watch face is to help the user see their respective information from their watch only. 1. The Health-First Advantage Most watch faces look nice but fail to drive better daily decisions. This face is built around the core idea that if you see the right health signals at the right time, you can better change your behavior. It surfaces crucial health data in a single, glanceable dashboard, eliminating the need for scrolling or extra taps. 2. Key Data at a Glance The watch face integrates key metrics across five categories to provide immediate, actionable insights: a. Heart & Recovery: Track cardiovascular and nervous system load with Current HR, Resting HR trend cues, Vo2 Max, and a Stress/Body Battery-style energy indicator. b. Movement & Calories: Stay accountable with Steps vs. daily goal, Active minutes (low/medium/high intensity), kCal burned (with a clear flame icon), and Distance traveled. c. Sleep & Readiness: Connect last night's rest with today's potential. Features include a Readiness/Energy bar for today and Oxygen levels (via Pulse Ox). d. Environment & Context: Plan your outdoor time with Sunrise/Sunset, Moon phase, Altitude, and Weather data (low/current/high temps, wind speed/direction, precipitation chance). e. Essential Context: Includes a visual battery level meter along the bottom. 3. How It Changes Your Day The n of 1 Watch Face helps you manage your health in real-time by: Making Better Decisions: See low energy or high stress? Swap a hard workout for a walk. Low Body Battery? Prioritize an earlier bedtime. Seeing Patterns: By consolidating data (Stress, HR, Activity) into one view, you naturally notice personalized "n=1" insights—like how late nights impact your stress—which leads to habit change. Staying Accountable: Gentle, constant visual nudges from your main screen (e.g., kCal icon, step goal) remind you to move or rest without needing extra notifications. What's new

v1.4.6 — fix VO2 Max blank for users with running-only VO2 getVo2MaxData() previously returned only profile.vo2maxCycling, so any user whose Garmin had only established a running VO2 max saw "VO2:--" even though the value existed on their profile. Reported by Connect IQ user Michael (thank you!) after his v1.4.5 install rendered correctly but with VO2 still blank. Fix: return max(vo2maxRunning, vo2maxCycling), falling back cleanly to whichever is non-null, returning null only when both are unavailable. Version 1.4.5 — Stability fixes Fixed a crash that could show the Connect IQ error icon on watches with no recent Pulse Ox (SpO2) reading — typically right after installing the watch face on a new or recently reset device. The watch face now displays "o2:--%" in white until your watch records its next SpO2 reading. Fixed a crash that could occur when your user profile did not have a VO2 Max value yet. The watch face now shows "VO2:--" until VO2 Max is available. Fixed a rare crash on the altitude line when the watch had no GPS fix. The watch face now falls back to the last known altitude in that case. Improved alignment of the Intensity Minutes weekly total — the trailing color-coded number now sits on the same baseline as the leading low and high values. Version 1.4.1 - minor color adjustment Version 1.4 - "Get To Green" Introducing dynamic color-coded health metrics! Every health metric on your watch face now changes color based on how close you are to your goal: Red → You're just getting started Yellow → Making progress White → Almost there Green → Goal met! The new "Get To Green" system covers all 12 health-related metrics: Steps, Miles, Stairs, Calories, Stress, SpO2, Body Battery, Current HR, Intensity Minutes, Resting HR, and VO2 Max. Customize your targets in the watch face settings — set your own max values for Miles, Calories, Current HR, Resting HR, and VO2 Max. Metrics like Steps and Floors automatically use your Garmin goals, while percentage-based metrics (Stress, SpO2, Body Battery) use their natural 100% max. Inverted metrics (Stress, Resting HR, Current HR) use reverse coloring — green when low, red when high. Your goal: Get everything to green! v1.3 has reorganized things so that the date, time and weather info are up top, and the current data is closer grouped together at the bottom, along with the longer term health info grouped together at the bottom of the watch. New icons were also added along with color coding (e.g. if more stressed out, the stress percentage turns red). Enjoy! Enjoy version 1.2.1! Let us know what features you would like as we are working on the backlogs for our products. o Version 1.2.1 changed temperature separator from "-" to "|" so it's easier to read negative temperatures; made min and max heart rate overlays on top of chart (red lined pulse chart) so easier to read o Version 1.2 supports fēnix® 8, 43 mm AMOLED o Version 1.1 was inspired by Mark Connelly's feedback and includes changes for being able to choose mph or kph (for wind speed) and C or F (for temperature). There is a trial period for the watch so you can use it to see if you like it.
