Step Roller (writes FIT data too)

This data field displays up to 6 different step-related values in a rolling fashion (Daily Steps, Step Goal, Step Goal %, Steps to go [until goal], Activity Steps and Lap Steps). The default delay between each value is 5 seconds, but you can configure this between 1 and 10 seconds. It also saves activity lap and session step counts to your activity's FIT file so they can be seen in Connect and other services that support custom FIT fields. Optionally it can record every noted increase in activity step data to the FIT file, so it can be displayed in a chart in Connect - this could make your FIT file much larger, so it is off by default. As this is a datafield, you will need to make your settings preferences via Garmin Express or the Garmin Connect Mobile app. Settings allow you to select which of the 6 fields you want to see, the pause between each field transition (1 to 10 seconds) and whether to record all detected changes in the step count to the FIT file. I only own one of these device types, so have to use the simulator for the others. The label and value positions look OK in the simulator but may be different on actual devices. Please let me know via "Contact Developer" if things are not working and I may ask for a photo so I can see what it looks like on an actual device!

I have been asked about support for older devices, such as the FR630. Unfortunately these devices have less memory for data fields and even after various optimisations I have been unable to avoid this data field from causing an out of memory error on this generation of device. 1.1.7: Rebuilt app with newer devices enabled (but not tested).
