About

The Bike Metrics datafield is a full-screen datafield that allows flexible configuration of sensor values. Heartrate, cadence, power and speed based bike training is graphically supported. If you like this app, please feel free to donate at: paypal.me/udotha The sensor configuration can be defined via settings within Garmin Connect or Garmin Express UI. Sensor values can be chosen from a set of 22 containing clock time, timer time, altitude, distance, total ascent and descent, training effect as well as current, average and maximum values of cadence, heartrate, power, speed and grade. On edge 530/830 sensor values can be arranged in 5 fields. On edge 1030/1040 sensor values can be arranged in 7 fields. On edge 530/830 the sensor fields are numbered from 0 (top) to 4 (bottom right). On edge 1030/1040 the sensor fields are numbered from 0 (top) to 6 (bottom right). Field zero is reserved for heartrate, cadence, speed, power and 3 seconds power sensor values. The value of these sensors is graphically displayed as an arc. The color of the arc can be green, yellow or red. A green arc Indicates that the current sensor value is within10 percent of the defined goal sensor value. A yellow arc indicates that the current sensor value is more than 10 percent and less than 20 percent off the defined goal sensor value. A red arc indicates that the current sensor value is more than 20 percent off the defined goal sensor value. The black line in the arc indicates the average sensor value. The goal sensor value of heartrate, cadence, power and speed are defined via settings within Garmin Connect or Garmin Express UI. Example - Cadence based bike training: Define your goal cadence (e.g. 85) and select cadence in field zero via settings within Garmin Connect or Garmin Express UI. Select other sensor values in fields 1 to 4 (edge 530/830) or 1 to 6 (1030/1040) as you like. Ready.
