About

Water closes over everything. You come in after two hours offshore and have no idea whether that last run was your fastest, how far out you actually went, or how long you were in the air off that swell. The ride was real. The record of it never existed. WAKE fixes that. Current speed, large enough to read in glare and spray, with your session best marked on the dial so you know what you have to beat. Distance, time on the water, heart rate and calories. And airtime, counted properly. When the hull leaves the water your whole body goes weightless, and the watch feels it. WAKE watches for that free-fall signature, counts every jump, times each one, and remembers your longest. It also knows the way home. Drop a home point when you launch and one screen becomes a compass arrow with a distance under it. Set a range alert and it vibrates when you pass a distance you choose. Wind and air temperature come from the watch's own weather, so the numbers on your wrist agree with the forecast you checked before you left. Then you finish, and it stops being instruments. The ride resolves into a single card: distance, time, top speed, airtime, jumps. The numbers climb up from zero and a thin ring closes around the edge. Flip it for the date, the conditions you rode in, and the tracks that were playing while you were out there. It saves as a standard Garmin activity, so it lands in Connect alongside everything else you do. MARINE BY DEFAULT Knots and nautical miles, because that's what the charts, the forecast and the VHF use. Wind in knots too. Switchable to km/h or mph. BUILT FOR YOUR DISPLAY WAKE reads your screen at launch and picks its treatment: deep blacks and saturated colour on AMOLED, high contrast on memory-in-pixel, pure line work on monochrome. NOTHING LEAVES YOUR WRIST No servers. No account, no sign-up, no analytics, no ads. Your position, your heart rate and your ride stay on the watch and in your own Garmin account. WHAT IT DOESN'T DO WAKE cannot read your craft. Engine speed, fuel and water temperature live on the boat's own network and Connect IQ has no access to it. Everything WAKE knows, it knows from the watch on your wrist. It has no map either - the home screen gives you a bearing and a distance, not a chart. WAKE is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Garmin or any watercraft manufacturer.
