Camera Opus

Camera Opus allows to control all camera functions from board your Garmin smartwatch and detects movements. Key features: • Take picture • Take picture with time delay (3, 5, 7, 15 seconds) • Video recording • Camera preview on watch • Zoom: both cameras • Torch/Flash: Back and Front • Camera switch: Back and Front • Motion detection • Find My Phone function • QR/Bar codes scanner IMPORTANT: To use this app you have to install companion app for Android phone from Play Store here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.mobimax.cameraopus After install Camera Opus on phone we recommend to go app’s settings and enable option ‘Show connection messages’. This option will show an important messages from Garmin connectivity engine Connect IQ. Apps for Garmin watch and Android phone are absolutely free. However, some functions are locked and needs to buy premium license on phone app in section Watch. Please test available functions and connection stability on your watch before you decide to extend to premium. Don't be in a hurry. Pictures and videos in free version are written in about 1 MP. After upgrade to premium phone app uses the best quality available on your phone. The app requires Internet permission to use Garmin communication engine between watch and phone. TIP In case communication problems phone-watch please restart your phone or watch for a moment. For the most cases it resolves any connection issue. To get camera preview you must click an app logo in the center of the view. It is not downloaded automatically in current version. The image quality is worse than what you see on your phone because Garmin engine must decrease image quality before sending it to watch. It is due to very low data transfer via Bluetooth LE and depends on display colors depth on your watch. As default Camera Opus shows small camera preview. To use full-screen camera preview you must enable it in app's settings on Garmin app IQ Store / Camera Opus / Settings. Please note: this function use more RAM storage to download full-screen camera image and it might cause crash/exit the app on older watches with low memory size. Than you have to disable this function to avoid any further app unexpected crashes. To launch function 'Find My Phone' swipe down 3 times, very fast. In case buttons watches press 3 times buttons UP-DOWN very fast. Motion detection feature is available after upgrade to premium license. After an alert it pauses for one minute. You can change sensitivity threshold on phone app / settings. We are very sorry users owning iOS phones. Camera Opus supports only Android powered phones. Why? We don’t develop apps for this great mobile system. Please don’t leave negative comments about that. It doesn’t help nobody. We haven’t tested watch app on all Garmin watches because we don’t have all.
