Lingua Trial
· v1.0.81
About
Turn every glance at your wrist into a micro-lesson. Lingua shows a phrase in the
language you're learning, with the translation in your own language right below it — so
between steps, weather and your workout stats, you pick up real, speakable phrases all day.
Learn while you live
- A phrase pair on every screen — the language you're learning on top, your own
language beneath. Read it, say it, remember it.
- 10 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Mandarin Chinese,
Japanese, Russian, Hindi and Arabic. Pick any two — learn Spanish from English, French
from German, Japanese from Portuguese… all 90 combinations work.
- Speakable everywhere: Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Hindi and Arabic are shown in
easy Latin transliteration (pinyin, romaji…) so you can actually pronounce them at a
glance — no squinting at unfamiliar scripts.
Three levels, your pace
- Words → Phrases → Sentences. Start with single communication words, move up to
practical phrases, then full conversational sentences — 100 items per level.
- Change how often it rotates: a fresh phrase on every wrist-up, or every 1, 4 or 24
hours. Long sentences gently scroll so you can read the whole thing.
- Everything set from your phone (Garmin Connect) or right on the watch.
A full watch face, too
Big bold time, date, current weather with high/low, humidity and wind, battery, sunrise
& sunset, steps and calories with goal rings, altitude and heart rate — all on a crisp,
high-contrast AMOLED layout. Always-On Display keeps a dimmed clock and your current
phrase visible without burning in.
This is just 24 h trial version, get the full on at IQ-Store, search for "Lingua".
Best on larger displays
Lingua shows a lot at once, so it reads most comfortably on bigger watches. On very small
screens (for example the Forerunner 55) the text is necessarily compact — there simply
isn't room to enlarge it and keep all the information. On those watches the Clean theme
(just the phrase and the time) is the most readable choice.
