Medical ID is a standalone emergency information system designed to display critical health data and contact information directly on your Garmin device. It functions independently of a phone connection, ensuring that first responders can access your vital details immediately during an incident, even if your mobile device is damaged or inaccessible. CORE FEATURES 1. Critical Vitals Dashboard (Page 1) The primary display focuses on immediate triage data using a high-contrast, legible layout. Identity: Displays Name and ID/SSN (optional). Bio-Metrics: Prominently highlights Blood Type and Age. Live Telemetry: Displays real-time Heart Rate (BPM) and Blood Oxygen (SpO2) levels directly from the watch sensors. Alerts: Dedicated high-visibility footer for Allergies and critical Medical Conditions. 2. Emergency Contact (Page 2) A dedicated page for Next of Kin (ICE) details. Contact Info: clear display of Contact Name, Relationship, and Phone Number. Additional Data: Space for Address or critical notes. 3. Hands-Free "Auto-Scroll" Designed for unresponsive patients. The app features an "Auto-Scroll" setting that automatically cycles between the Vitals Page and the Contact Page every 4 seconds. This allows first responders to view all information without needing to touch the device controls. 4. QR Code Mode (Not Including 96KB Watches) Pressing the START button instantly toggles a high-contrast QR Code screen. (Note: This is a visual indicator for "Scan for Info" protocols or can be customized by the user). 5. Always-On Capability Includes an override setting to force the screen backlight to stay ON indefinitely while the app is running, ensuring visibility at night or in low-light rescue scenarios. DATA MANAGEMENT All data is stored locally on the device for privacy and offline access. You can edit every field directly on the watch via the comprehensive Settings Menu: Personal: Name, Phone, Address, ID. Bio / Vitals: Blood Type, Age, Height, Weight. Medical History: Allergies, Conditions, Medications. Emergency Contact: Name, Phone, Relationship. Security: Includes a "Factory Reset" option to instantly erase all personal data from the device. CONTROLS START / SELECT: Toggle QR Code Mode. UP / DOWN (or SWIPE): Manually switch between Vitals Page and Contact Page. MENU (Hold): Open the Editor and Settings Menu. BACK: Exit the application. SETTINGS Auto-Scroll: Toggle automatic page cycling (Default: ON). Keep Screen On: Force backlight to remain active (Default: OFF). Vibration: Enable haptic feedback for interactions (Default: ON).
