Feel free to direct your complaints to Garmin. It still seems to function on Apple devices though. A widget that allows you to control your GoPro (4 and newer) camera via your watch. In order to use this widget, your phone with Garmin Connect should already be set up to control your GoPro with the normal GoPro app. 3 Modes of Operation: - Photo - Burst - Video For each of the modes, the widget has the ability to start and stop captures. Also, the configuration for each mode is not changed and should be setup beforehand. For example, the video resolution or burst mode will be whatever your device already has set. ======================= Steps to follow to use widget: 1. On the GoPro, enable WiFi for App control. This is the same as you would do for using the usual GoPro app. 2. On the phone your watch is connected to, select the WiFi network for your GoPro and connect your phone to this. 3. On the GoPro, power it on and select photo mode. This keeps the unit powered since the widget does not have the ability to wake the unit once it powers off. Therefore, if the unit powers down, you must power it on before you can control it with this widget. As a check to make sure you can connect to your GoPro, you can visit this URL from your phone with the WIFI connection: http://10.5.5.9/gp/gpControl/status -You should see some text as a response which will indicate you can successfully communicate to your GoPro over WiFi. This was tested on a VAHR, Vivoactive 3, and Fenix 5 with a GoPro Hero Session 4 with both Android and iPhone devices. Please let me know if you have any issues and I will see what can be done, happy capturing! ======================= Known Issues: -Does not work for GoPro 3 or older devices. -You may have to disable cell data for this to work. On my phone I have "Smart Network Switch" disabled and it worked without doing this. - 735xt displays the text and graphics a little off, I will have to update the code to have a specific formatting for this device, but the functionality worked in the simulator. -Once Garmin removes http support and migrates only to https, this app will no longer work as the GoPro does not use https. ======================= Version History v1.5 - (Hopefully) Fixed an issue where multi photo mode was calling timelapse only causing issues with GoPro 5 not changing to photo mode. v1.4 - Added both the Fenix 3 and 735xt to list of supported devices... this required changing minimum Connect IQ version from 2+ to 1.4. Please let me know if you see any issues! v1.3 - Reduced polling time as communication interface for watch does not seem to be able to handle faster than once per second. v1.2 - Added Forerunner 935 to supported devices per request. v1.1 - Initial release
