On your Edge you can even view it on the elevation profile or ClimbPro pages! Why? Because a data field slots into the rich features already built into the latest Garmin watches and Edge cycling GPSes. Use the Run, Bike, Hike or other built-in activity apps on your Garmin. Mix the mapField in with your favorite data fields, whether they're the standards like speed and gradient, or other Connect IQ data fields like Strava Live Suffer Score, Stryd Power and Garmin Graphical Elevation. Added to any data page, our mapField will show you where you are on your route, while allowing easy access to music controls, weather, Settings and other widgets. You can even use the mapField on more than one page layout. • Important tech note: unlike a full app like dwMap, data fields can only get online once every 5 minutes, so the one-time account link step will take up to 5 minutes to complete, and route changes may take a few minutes to download. The usefulness of mapField will reward your patience! The mapField data field links to your dynamicWatch account and pulls down your current active route from there. When you first use the field it will show you an 8 character code. Enter it into your dynamicWatch account at https://is.gd/ciqlink The field will try every 5 minutes to match the link code; when it is able to connect and check the code has been entered, the code will disappear and the route will be shown. It shows a countdown bar at the top or bottom of the field to show when it will be able to connect next. Once linked, the field will then pull down your current active route from dynamicWatch when you start your activity. After starting the activity it will check every 5 minutes for a new route. Since the mapField stores the last route used on the device, we suggest you open the Bike/Run/Hike after you've chosen your route, so you can see it being downloaded, then you can close the app knowing the route will be ready for you when you start your activity later. Don't forget to set one of the routes on your dynamicWatch route list to be your current route. mapField is available on most watch and Edge models, including Venu, Vivoactive 3/4/5, Fenix 5/6/7, Forerunner 165/245/255/265/645/935/945/955/965 watches, and Edge 130, 520/530/540, 820/830/840, 1000/1030/1040/1050. By tapping into the dynamicWatch platform you get access to the full route import, creation and management features that we've built, including instant access to routes from Google Maps, Garmin Connect, Strava, Ride with GPS, MapMyRun, Hiking Project and many other route sites.
