Smappee for ALL
· v2026-02-28
About
Shows solar power and consumed power measured by YOUR (since 2018-05-04) Smappee energy monitor.
See also https://www.smappee.com/be_en/solar-energy-monitor.
Short description of what you have to do:
1. Logging to your local Smappee
1.1 find your local IP of your Smappee, like 192.168.20.181
1.2 loggin ex: http://192.168.20.181/smappee.html (password = admin)
once this "page" is open, the data can be read for several days. The watch notice you when you have to log on again. (I made a shortcut on my handy for that)
2. Make Smappe available from the internet.
(the azure webservice must read your Smappee consumption string and convert it then to a JSON format, readable from the watch).
Therefore you to set a "Port Forwarding" on your modem/internetRouter.
you can use your IP from the modem (via https://www.iplocation.net/find-ip-address) , or use a DynDns name translation service.
I did an additionaly port translation in my modem: from 20000 (internet) to 80 (smappee) and use free DynDns from mooo.com. (so with http://yourName.mooo.com:20000 it arrives to the Smappee port 80)
The following must then work: http://yourName.mooo.com:20000/smappee.html or http://yourIP:port/smappee.html, ex http://62.168.44.33:20000/smappee.html)
3. Config watch the access-adress from the internet must be set in the Garmin settings,
for example http://yourName.mooo.com:20000 or http://yourIP:port/
