TELEPOD SPLICE
· v1.0
About
Two clocks fused mid teleport, one pristine, one grown wrong. The seam between them spreads a little every day.
TELEPOD SPLICE is two watch faces that went through the pod together and did not come out clean.
Left of the seam is the pristine instrument: sharp white digits, clean minute ticks, an exact step counter. Right of the seam the same clock has been rebuilt by something that did not quite understand it. The ticks curve like bristles. The hour is counted in a cluster of nodules. The minutes swell in a sac. Even the step counter disagrees with its twin by a few percent, and how far it disagrees is up to you.
The seam is the heart of the face. It migrates about one pixel every four days, slowly ceding the clean side to the grown side. The face you install is not the face you will be wearing in six months. A Purge Splice option resets the process, for those who want their teleporter accident undone.
The clean side always remains fully legible on its own. The organic side is commentary.
Settings, including the purge and the organic error magnitude, are available directly on the watch. On always on displays only the seam, the time and the hour nodules remain, nudged each minute to protect the panel.
Settings are available directly on the watch: press and hold the watch face, choose Customize, and open the face's own menu. The same options are also in the Garmin Connect phone app under Connect IQ Apps, Watch Faces.
Free, with no advertising and no data collection.
