SmartWake PRO

SmartWake is a ConnectIQ app that allows you to adapt your alarm to your personal biorhythm. In FREE mode you can set alarm time and wakeup window. PRO enables multiple alarms, additional sleep goal mode with fall asleep detecion and iOT integration. IMPORTANT NOTE: - body battery (on all devices that offer the service) is not being charged during runtime of SmartWake. - Fenix 6 or later, Venu2 Series or new FR (945, 255) do not calculate sleep score when using SmartWake overnight. ** A stable internet connection is required for the app to be installed correctly. Brief interruptions in the connection can interrupt the installation, which leads to an error when starting the app and the Garmin logo appearing. In this case, please delete the app and reinstall it. If the problem persists, please contact us. ** On newer devices calculation of sleep score is being excluded when you start an activity on your watch. ConnectIQ framework does not allow access to Garmin sleep data. So we access raw sensor data in order to make predictions about sleep states. The issue with body battery is by design of the body battery and ConnectIQ framework. **Instructions** 1. Download the App and sync with your watch 2. Open SmartWake on your watch. You can open it by pressing the START button 3. Hit the START button to set alarm time, wakeup window and snooze. 4. Your alarm is set when the app displays a green bell, located above the clock. (Note: alarm only works when SmartWake is open) 5. Ideally you set the alarm before you go to bed, because the arlam gets deactivated when you close the app Please make sure that you adapt your general settings for backlight (set gesture to off) and sounds (alert tones and vibration settings) for best user experience (see chapter best performance). When switched on during the night SmartWake App detects light sleeping phases and sets off at the right time so you can get up more easily and start your day more efficiently whilst getting the rest your body really needs. Features FREE Mode: - alarm clock - timeframe for SmartWake alarm (1-45 minutes) - snooze (1-30 minutes; can be deactivated in the settings of the app) - alarm time, timeframe and snooze settings will be saved once they were typed in. - hide the clock when the alarm is activated. (In the menu set ‘Hide Clock’ true, time display will be hidden until the alarm starts. Needs to be activated every time, it is not activated automatically.) You may find it in Settings - System - Backlight - During activity - At least vibration settings should be switched on before using the app, otherwise SmartWake might not be able to wake you up. You may find it in setting-system-sound-vibration:On. - Alert tones should either be set to „During Activity“ or "off" depending on how you want to be woken up (setting - system - sound - tonal alarm). Note: Some devices only support vibration alarm (e.g. Vivoactive3) - Garmin devices DND-Mode should be switched on, so no notification will distract you during your sleep.
