About
COMPATIBILITY - Garmin watches with a round AMOLED display: fenix 9 / 9 Pro (43, 47, 51 mm), fenix 8 / 8 Pro (43, 47, 51 mm), fenix E, epix (Gen 2) and epix Pro (Gen 2), Forerunner 265 / 265S / 965 / 970 / 570 / 170, Venu 3 / 3S / 4, vivoactive 6, MARQ (Gen 2), Approach S70, Descent Mk3, D2 Mach 1 / Mach 2, tactix 7 AMOLED / tactix 8, quatix 7 / 8. No version for MIP displays (fenix 7, Forerunner 955 / 255...): the watch face needs the colour and transparency of AMOLED.
PRICE - Free 2-hour trial, then a one-time purchase of $4.99 (+ VAT) via KiezelPay: the watch shows a code, you enter it at kzl.io/code. The licence is tied to your watch and is never asked again.
EARTH IN REAL TIME: the globe is computed from the true position of the sun at this very moment - the day/night line moves with the hours, the globe is centred on your own part of the world wherever you live, and a golden dot marks where you are.
LIVING WEATHER: on every wrist raise, the local weather is ANIMATED - rain falls from the icon and forms puddles, snow leaves traces on the ground, fog spreads and thunderstorms flash lightning along the rim. The heart beats at your real rate, the walker walks, the calorie flame grows with your effort.
AROUND THE EARTH, A RING OF 15 LIVE INDICATORS: battery, heart rate, SpO2, respiration, stress, Body Battery, temperature, steps, floors, active / resting / total calories, altitude, and local weather with its temperature.
THE SKY: a solar arc in the colours of the day (orange at sunrise, gold at noon, pink then violet at sunset) and a lunar arc; the sun and moon sit exactly where they are in your sky right now. Under the date: sunrise, sunset, and the illuminated fraction of the moon.
ORRERY MODE (ALWAYS-ON): the solar system in real time, with the eight planets at today's positions - Saturn with its ring, Jupiter with its bands, Earth circled in gold. It is the Always-On screen, and a long press on the screen (about two seconds) switches between Earth and the solar system at any time.
Everything is computed on the watch from its sensors and Garmin weather: no account, no personal data sent (only the KiezelPay licence check goes through your phone). NASA textures (Blue Marble). Aldrich font (OFL licence).
Designed by Michael Esteves.
What's new
A new always-on display. Instead of a bare outline, the watch now draws the Earth itself: the continents in fine dots, brighter where the sun is up, with a golden line along the day/night boundary. It stays well inside the power budget an AMOLED always-on allows.
The indicators around the rim keep their own colours in always-on too — battery, heart rate, body battery, temperature — instead of a uniform grey, so you can read the ring at a glance.
And the Earth itself is smoother: the twilight and the city lights are computed pixel by pixel and embedded in the imagery, so the terminator is soft and continuous. The view is also chosen an hour more accurately, so the lit half of the globe matches the real position of the sun, and your golden marker sits exactly on your latitude.
