Retro Digital: LCD LED VFD Mono

Retro Digital is a tribute to the readouts time forgot. Switch between four faithfully recreated retro displays, each tuned for the Garmin AMOLED: • VFD — the glowing cyan vacuum-fluorescent panel from VCRs, car stereos, and hi-fi decks. Emissive segments in a glass tube, with the signature “all segments faintly lit” ghost and a fine control grille. • LED — the warm red seven-segment glow of an ’80s alarm clock. • LCD — the crisp grey-green segment panel of a classic digital watch. • Mono — the positive (dark-on-light) LCD of a classic 80s digital watch: dark ink segments on a light glass substrate, with a subtle polarizer sheen. Every face is built for the display it imitates: authentic segment glow, ghost segments, a clean AM/PM indicator in 12-hour mode, and a standby always-on mode that keeps each technology’s signature look while you sleep.
