About

A watch face for the Garmin Instinct Crossover, built around a small live model of the Earth and Moon. The moon animates through 29 illustrated phases tied to the real lunar cycle, anchored to a known new moon (2024-04-08, 20:20 UTC). Next to it, an Earth turns once per sidereal day, showing the hemisphere currently facing the moon. A shadow overlay tracks the dark side, lagging the moon by half a cycle. Out of the box, the moon is shown as we see it from Earth, the familiar everyday face. A toggle switches to the astronomically accurate version (the moon as the sun actually lights it). Same physics, different point of view. Notifications surface as a small bubble rising off the Earth, capped at 9+. Battery has three modes: Auto (percent normally, expanding to days remaining and live solar intake when the sun is on the panel), Percent only, or Extended always. A thin bar on the top-left corner tracks the same value at a glance. Weather is on by default. Condition icon plus temperature in your local units, with an optional "feels-like" toggle for the months when wind matters. All settings are editable from the Connect IQ phone app and directly on the watch (MENU, Watch Face, Settings, Customize): · Moon view: on/off; on - from Earth (default); off - as lit by the sun · Battery: Auto / Percent / Extended · Weather: on/off · Feels-like temperature: on/off (default: on) · Military time: on/off; 24h only, drops the colon (default: off) Built specifically for the Instinct Crossover's 176×176, pixel perfect.
