Enough Day Circle

Day Circle puts a whole day around your watch face. A colored grows from midnight to midnight, giving you a simple sense of where you are in the day. (You can instead choose to show the part of the day that remains). Before the clock divided the day into hours and minutes, time was more often marked by what was happening: waking, eating, working, resting, the light changing across the day, evening arriving. Day Circle borrows from that older sense of time. It shows the day as one continuous thing, rather than a collection of minutes to chase, save or optimise. You can choose to leave the centre clear, let it say “morning, noon, afternoon,” or add the exact time and date. On touch watches, holding the centre briefly brings up the time and date when you need them. There’s a thought behind the name enough. We have become rather good at turning time into something to use well. Even an empty hour look like an opportunity that should to be filled. But an afternoon doesn’t have to be productive to have been worth having. The conversation that went on a bit longer than planned, the walk with no particular destination. The hour you couldn’t quite account for afterwards, but enjoyed. Day Circle is a small reminder to let some time be like that. The ring simply shows the passing day.
