Radia Code App
· v1.0.1
About
RadiaCode App shows live readings from a RadiaCode radiation meter on your Garmin watch.
The watch talks to the meter over Bluetooth Low Energy. You do not need a phone or internet for the live display.
Detailed information can be found on this website:
https://gapps.orcatec.net/watchface/radiacodeapp
This is an unofficial app for all RadiaCode 100+x devices.
WHAT YOU SEE
• Dose rate (Sievert or Roentgen; auto / µSv/h / nSv/h)
• Count rate (CPS or CPM)
• Pulse chart against the local background
• Device temperature and detected background
• Optional alerts: auto-detect vs background, or a fixed threshold
OPTIONAL ACTIVITY
Press START to record a Garmin activity. Saved sessions include CPM and dose rate charts, total dose, lap dose, and an optional GPS track. They appear in Garmin Connect after sync.
HOW TO CONNECT
1. Disconnect the RadiaCode from every other device first — including the official phone app. A RadiaCode can be paired with only one device at a time.
2. Open RadiaCode App on the watch. It starts scanning.
3. Select your meter and press START / SELECT (or tap the name on a touchscreen).
4. Wait on “Connecting…” until the first live value arrives.
After a successful connection the watch remembers the meter and reconnects next time. Use “Forget device” to turn auto-connect off.
Touchscreens: start or stop an activity with START, or by tapping the Start/Stop label in the upper-right. Tapping the rest of the measurement screen does nothing.
Instinct (MIP): use the labelled buttons. Connecting can take a few seconds; stay on the connecting card until the first value appears.
DISCLAIMER
This app displays values reported by a RadiaCode meter. It is not a certified measuring instrument and is not a medical device. Do not use it for medical decisions, official surveys, or safety-critical work. Always follow local radiation-safety rules and the RadiaCode manufacturer’s instructions.
A RadiaCode can be connected to only one Bluetooth device at a time. If the phone app (or any other client) is connected, the watch cannot use the meter.
What's new
The App is listet under "activities" on your device.
Initial release: live BLE display, units and alarms, optional activity recording with FIT fields in Garmin Connect.
