NDR-One MIP

NDR-One MIP is designed for 64-color memory-in-pixel transflective screens: the Fenix 7 generation and any owner who wants the entire instrument dashboard readable in direct sun. It stays on and live all day, no wrist-raise. MAKE IT YOURS, ON THE WATCH Long-press the clock to open Customize and rebuild the face in seconds: swap the corner rings, pick the center chart, set the top and bottom status bands, change the header and footer chips, switch themes, flip on Light Mode. No phone, no sync delay. Or use Connect IQ Mobile, which mirrors the same menu, one slot per dropdown. TAP THROUGH TO THE DETAIL Long-press any metric and NDR-One MIP opens its native Garmin glance: the Body Battery ring for its drain history, the VO2 Max or Recovery readout for the training detail. (On touch models that enable watch-face touch.) BUILT FOR MEMORY-IN-PIXEL Memory-in-pixel panels render differently from AMOLED, so this is a rebuild, not a port. The rings are flat solid arcs snapped to the 64-color grid, so there is no gradient banding. The numerals are native and drawn bolder and larger for a transflective screen, and every theme is re-tuned to the MIP palette. A MIP-only Light Mode flips the face to a white background with dark ink for maximum contrast in bright daylight. WHAT YOU CAN PUT ON IT Eight ring options for the four corner slots: Steps, Floors, Intensity Minutes, Calories, Body Battery, VO2 Max, Stress, Pulse Ox. The center chart, one of: Heart Rate, Stress, Body Battery, Elevation, Steps per hour, or off. Two side readouts by the clock: Sunrise and Sunset, Phone Notifications, Daily Distance, Respiration, Altitude, Wind, Weekly Run, or Weekly Bike. Status bands, top and bottom center: a 3-day calendar, Training Status, Recovery Time, Daily Distance, Weekly Run, Weekly Bike, or the NDR mark. Header and footer bars: the weather block, a Hi/Lo chip, the battery, a UV Index, Feels Like or Humidity chip. Battery and weather can swap places, and either can be off. ALWAYS LIVE A memory-in-pixel screen never sleeps, so there is no separate always-on design and nothing to dim. The full instrument face stays on and readable all day, in shade or direct sun. Optional ticking seconds are off by default to protect battery. BUILT LIKE AN APP, NOT A WALLPAPER Under the layout is a real application, not a background with a few widgets dropped on top. Every reading runs live, never a static number: heart rate flags when it goes stale, the battery steps from full color to amber to red, a ring lights the moment its goal is met, and a widget whose sensor your watch lacks hides itself instead of showing "--". Your layout, theme and settings are saved on the watch and survive reboots and updates. GARMIN-NATIVE, PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Every metric comes from Garmin's own services (Activity Monitor, UserProfile, SensorHistory, Complications, Weather). No third-party accounts, no API keys, no tracking, and no network calls of its own. It asks only for the permissions it uses. NDR-One MIP v1.2.0 - Reliability, stability, and polish Heart rate badge: you can now turn it back ON from the phone app after switching it off on the watch. Previously, once it was turned off on the watch, the phone app could not bring it back. Body Battery, Pulse Ox, and Stress now show "--" when a reading has gone stale, instead of showing an old value as if it were current (for example after the watch has been off your wrist). Seconds and AM/PM display settings now apply reliably. Reduced memory usage for better cold-start reliability on the Fenix 7 family. More robust settings handling and syncing between the watch and the phone app. Removed unused internal code and two permissions the face never used (Communications and Background), for a lighter, cleaner app and a shorter permission list at install. Numerous internal cleanups, accuracy fixes, and refinements throughout the face.
