About

The user can try out the Pomodoro Sprints app for 3 days. During this time the app is fully functional. After the end of the trial period the app is not usable any more, until the user enters the Activation key in the app's Settings. You can get the Activation key in the "Ko-fi shop", where you can buy me a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/s/7418fe4b28 (no ko-fi account required. Paypal, credit card, google pay, etc. accepted). Please leave a positive review in Garmin's App Store if you like Pomodoro Sprints. Contact me in case of problems: [email protected] ------------------------------- DESCRIPTION Pomodoro Sprints is a Pomodoro-style work management app, with additional features not usually found in Pomodoro applications. It is similar in some respects to our 'Pomodoro Scripts' app (https://apps.garmin.com/apps/3c28bd37-7e7b-4bc4-aff5-16f3d997bc9e) THE BASICS: the app helps the user break down work into consecutive work and break periods. Work periods or pomodoros (called 'sprints' in this app) should be focused and continuous, separated by breaks involving some other activity. PROJECTS: a number of projects can be defined. The user can move freely from one project to another. Sprint numbers, time spent on the sprints, and steps during sprints and breaks are displayed and recorded for each project separately, and a history of the last seven days is kept. TIME-LINES: either a common time line or project-specific time lines can be used. Sprint parameters are specific for projects when project-specific timeline is chosen. With common time line, parameters are common for all projects. Count-down or count-up of minutes. Sprints can be started immediately or at the next full minute SETTINGS: many settings (e.g. Sprint/Break parameters and colors) can be controlled from the main menu of the app on the watch. STEPS: the app tries to motivate walking during breaks (and discourage it during sprints). It records the number of steps taken during sprints and breaks. GOALS: goals for daily work time and for number of steps during breaks can be defined for each project separately. Goals and performance are shown graphically. INTERRUPTIONS: the user can exit the app, restart it later on the same day, and then continue with the same project where it was interrupted. He can also pause and resume the app without exiting it. WARNINGS: the user can choose to be warned to walk during breaks, not to walk during sprints, to hydrate during sprints, and, if the app is in a paused state, to be periodically reminded about this. DATA DISPLAY: sprints and steps during breaks can be shown both as charts (bar or line) and also numerically, for the current day and for the previous 7 days. Summary data is also shown numerically. PHYSIO DATA DISPLAY: Heart Rate, today's Calories burned or today's Intensity Minutes. TIME DISPLAY: 12 or 24 hours. ------------------------------- TROUBLE SHOOTING In case of problems saving Settings (e.g. the Activation key) on the phone, check your Bluetooth connection, restart the phone, and try again. Otherwise, save Settings with Garmin Express, a PC app: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/software/express/windows/ Report any issues to: [email protected]. ------------------------------- USAGE INSTRUCTIONS AND SETTINGS Detailed description: https://avoimasoftware.com/2020/04/09/sprints-description/ Usage instructions: https://avoimasoftware.com/2020/04/09/sprints-instructions/ ------------------------------- BUG REPORTS AND SUGGESTIONS Bug reports and suggestions for improvements: please email us at [email protected] ------------------------------- ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS ● The 'Pomodoro' app, by klymerik, has helped in the initial stages of development ● The active Calories calculation uses equations created by markdotai and topcaser ● The 24/12-hours formatting uses code from PixelPathos' Crystal watch face
