About

FROM A 24H SINGLE HAND TO EVERY METRIC YOU OWN From minimalist elegance to a cockpit on your wrist (Now with touch screen direct access) HOLD TO LAUNCH Hold key fields to jump into Garmin's own app for more detail — Weather, Calendar, Heart Rate, Sleep, Steps, ABC, Notifications, Training Status, run & cycling activity history, and each Health-row slot opens whatever's shown there. GAMUT A pure analog face + An analog-digital hybrid with your chosen data fields and live threshold alerts + The full 45-field display. *** 1 and 2 are achieved by locking the AOD screen Always. Switch between all three directly on the watch, no phone app needed, thanks to the BUILT-IN MENU (34 languages). PLAY WITH COLOUR Pick your GAMUT, hand and label colours through a 3-step picker — hue, tone, brightness — then see it applied LIVE on your actual face before committing (+700 colours). Love it, keep it. Not quite right, one tap sends you back — as many times as it takes. AOD ALERTS → where data becomes relevant information When a field crosses a threshold, it appears in the always-on display at the same screen position. Your eyes land where they need before the screen awakes. The colour does the rest: yellow for notice, orange for warning, red for act now. With 45 fields, there's no hunting — if it matters, it comes to you. HAND STYLES = 14 + Ultra-minimalist 24h watch Every style previews full-screen on the watch before you commit. 45 FIELDS: WHAT EACH ONE MEANS Weather & environment • Barometric altitude — your elevation from the watch altimeter • UV index — sun strength, corrected for solar elevation and your altitude • Wind — speed graded by the Beaufort scale, plus direction • Humidity — relative humidity • Apparent temperature — the real "feels-like" • Rain probability — chance of precipitation • Atmospheric pressure — barometric pressure in your chosen unit • Weather icon — current sky at a glance • Moon phase — tonight's illuminated fraction • Sunrise & sunset — today's times for your location Time & vitals • HH:MM:SS — the clock • Live heart rate — current bpm, colour-graded by zone • Resting HR — your latest resting heart rate • Body Battery — energy reserve, 0–100 • Stress — Garmin stress score, 0–100 • Respiratory rate — breaths per minute • Training Status — Productive, Peaking, Maintaining, Recovery, Unproductive, Overreaching, Strained or Detraining Training & performance • VO2 max — aerobic fitness estimate (run or cycling) • Recovery time — hours until you're fully recovered • Training Effect — aerobic load of your last activity • FTP — cycling Functional Threshold Power, in watts (needs power sensor) • Climb — vertical metres/feet climbed today • Move bar — how long since you last moved; fills green→red Activity • Distance — today's total • Steps — today's count • Active time — weekly active minutes • Weekly run distance & weekly cycling distance — your 7-day totals • Calories — today's kcal • Floors — floors climbed today • 7-day step histogram — last week as bars, with a daily sustained-HR overlay so you know HIIT vs Zone2 at a glance Body • Body weight — from your profile (kg / lb / st) • Glucose — Dexcom CGM reading, when connected (needs Dexcom app and sensor) System & status • Battery — charge as % or estimated days • GPS — fix accuracy • Bluetooth — phone connection • Alarm — alarm-set indicator • Notifications — unread count • Day & date • 3 personal message lines — a top line (or Training Status), a bottom line (or live GPS coordinates), and a hidden CAPS line *** Some metrics need specific sensors (e.g. Dexcom, cycling power). Missing values show "--". BUILT TO LAST Battery-optimised polling cadences. ±3 px screen-shift every minute for burn-in protection. *** Suggestions or issues? Email me — I review and aim to ship fixes within 24h. *** Enjoying it? A review helps — most users only ever see the top 10 apps in the list. Thank you for helping GAMUT climb :)

What's new

V3.1 Correcting bug found by Sabritton (UV datafield lagging Vs weather app) Facewatch used to refresh every 60min only. The face now checks weather up to 4x more often, and instantly refreshes the moment you check the forecast, so what you see always matches reality. (expected negligible impact on battery) V3.0 — colour selection previews until right colour is found. Picking your colour is now a game: choose a hue, tune the tone, dial the brightness → then see it applied live on your actual watch face before you commit. Love it? Keep it. Not quite right? One tap sends you back to try again. Dress that watch up, as many times as it takes! V2.3 — Colour it your way -729 colours meaning your GAMUT can offer a total of 387million combinations (time, hands and labels) Personalise the clock and the activity-history bars in the colour of your choice, pick from a full swatch grid right on the watch (hue → tone → brightness). The heart-rate line automatically switches to the complementary colour, so it always stays sharp and readable against the bars. Dress that watch up! V2.2 — Smarter HR training line The red line across the weekly step chart now shows the heart-rate zone you actually trained in each day (IPROVEMENTS → a brief sprint no longer pushes up an easy day) Use it at a glance to plan today's session from the days before. It's what lets you train smart without following a fixed plan: • Low HR zone yesterday? Do a HIIT session today. • Trained a high zone yesterday? Make it a recovery run. V2.1 Update logic on HR history (now catching training session peaks). Improvement in move bar and slight improvement in battery live for those users who use "Allways GAMUT" option and many AOD datafields. V2.0 Final update, now menus have pop-up notifications explaining the requirements for field like sleep (just latest watch models), FTP (needs power sensor, glucose (needs Dexcom app + sensor) and explanation about how to write the personal messages (Just on phone keyboard). V1.5 Bad news about the Sleep score implemented in V1.3. This is just available for the very latest devices, so even not very old ones (EPIX2PRO for example) where showing "--" permanently and the touchscreen launch didn't work already. (I have emailed Garmin suggesting upgrading all previous devices for this field, which is very important not just for training but for overall health, as this data is computed even in very old watches as my previous FR940...) In the meantime, the sleep is an option in Health field 6 (it will launch the sleep app at the touch+hold on the screen when selected) and the default option reverts to Rest Heart Rate, another great metric to show how good your sleep was as well as your body readiness is for training. For clarity, the new defaults for the health row are: ACT MIN → TRAINING EFFECT → STRESS → KCAL → RECOVERY → REST HR → BODY BATTERY All translations have gone through an update as well. V1.4 — GAMUT TACTILE + DUATHLON MODE Touch-to-launch, six zones. One hold on UV→Weather, Calendar week→Calendar, Heart Rate→HR app, or your Cycling activity history (left field column by history diagram) and Running (right). No digging through menus. Reworked field layout: every field now uses an improved format. That freed up enough room to add a 7th field to the Health row (up from 6) with the same or better readability (Same fonts, same spacing, just reduced max number of chars on titles). DUATHLON MODE: one toggle instantly reconfigures GAMUT into a cycling-focused layout for the lef column of fields by the history diagram. Flip it back off to return to your personal setup. IT IS LIKE HAVING A SECOND GAMUT BUILT IN! A heads-up for existing users: the field layout has shifted to make room for the above. It takes a few minutes to relearn where things sit, and in exchange, you get instant one-touch access to the apps you use most.
