Zone Bar

Before installing, please make sure your device is running the latest firmware version. Connect the device to a computer running Garmin Express to check for firmware updates. You need an ANT+ power/cadence meter and a heart rate monitor connected for the data to be displayed. This data field displays graphical zone bars showing current power (avg 3s), heart rate and cadence on a zone based colored scale. The display parameters and zones can be defined through the app parameters entered through the Garmin Connect mobile app or through Garmin Express. For each of the measurements, the following can settings are supported: - The maximum and minimum value for the display scale/axis. - The reference value to be used for zone definitions. For power this is your FTP value, LTHR for heart rate and your comfortable "normal" cadence for the cadence display. - Definitions for each of the zones (z1-z7) for each value. The zones are defined using percentages of the entered reference value. Note that you need to set the zones through the app parameters. The app does not use the zones that may be entered in the user profile on the Edge device. In addition the averaging period for the power value can be configured (1s/3s/10s/30s). ** PLEASE NOTE ** that zone values are entered in percentages of your reference value - I.e. an entry of 100 corresponds to your FTP or LTHR value. As your FTP/LTHR changes you only need to update the reference value.
