Become a premium user if you want to keep your customization! In the backgound graph, you see the forecast for the next hours. The horizontal áxis is the time. Each tick represents one hour. For reference, the numbers are displayed for 6a.m./p.m. 12a.m./p.m. Conditions such as rain, snow, drizzle and thunderstorm are indicated as vertical bars (background). Lines can be added to indicate the temperature, pressure, humidity, wind speed and probability of precipitation. You also see vertical lines indicating the sunrise and sunset times, and an icon indicating the moon phase. Depending on the number of lines and the availability of the data, the number of hours displayed may vary. In the foreground, up to 8 data fields can be shown. The numbers, icons and units in each column are conveniently aligned for a beautiful look. However if numbers or units are long, the display may look overload. Therefore you have the option to show the data without icons and/or units. These data fields are only shown when you turn your wrist. After a few moments, they are dismissed, so that you can see the hourly graph more clearly. And after a few minutes of inactivity only the time is displayed Remark about date formats in custom texts: using the hashtag is important!!! For example, if you want to see "Fri 5", you must enter #ddd# #d# Other options: - #doy# will be replaced by the day of the year (number) - #wn# will be replaced by the week number - #ddd# will be replaced by the day of the week - #dd# will be replaced by the day of the month with a leading zero (01-31) - #d# will be replaced by the day of the month without a leading zero (1-31) - #mmm# will be replaced by the month name (e.g. Jan) - #mm# will be replaced by the month number with a leading zero (01-12) - #m# will be replaced by the month number without a leading zero (1-12) - #yyyy# will be replaced by the as a four-digit number (0000-9999) - #yy# will be replaced by the year as a two-digit number (00-99) . _____ . On watches running ConnectIQ 3.2+, the weather is provided by the Garmin API. For other (older) devices, OpenWeather is used. In the second case, Internet requests are made periodically. This is the reason the app needs the background permission. If your watch uses OpenWeather as weather provider, the data will only be shown if the following conditions are fulfilled: - Your phone needs to be connected to the Internet and your watch needs to be connected to your phone via Bluetooth. Also, make sure that your phone doesn't have battery saving options or apps which can kill or prevent the Garmin Connect Mobile app from running. - If your location is not cached by your watch, you may either open go outside and open an activity app (e.g.) to acquire a gps fix or define the default coordinates manually in the app settings After these conditions are fulfilled, the app should be able to request the weather information. But it can take a while to be shown.
