About

Tetrix by SilveroStudios just like Tetris Ten columns, seventeen rows and seven pieces. No phone, no wifi, no timer — just you and the stack. SIGN UP FOR GARMIN SCHOOL UPDATES AND NEW APPS! https://garmin.silverostudios.com/school.html#stay The falling blocks game, built natively for Garmin watches. Rotate the piece, slide it where it fits, clear the line. Miss a gap and it stays there until you dig it out. Nothing to set up and nothing to wait for. Press play and you are already in a game. HOW IT PLAYS A piece falls from the top, one of seven shapes Move it left or right, turn it, drop it early if you can see where it goes Fill a whole row across and the row clears The stack reaches the top and the game is over IT GETS FASTER, AND IT DOES NOT STOP Every ten lines you go up a level, and every level the pieces fall quicker. Level one gives you most of a second to think. By level fifteen you have less than a tenth. There is no level cap and no finish line — the game ends when the stack wins. Start at level ten if one to nine is not worth your time. THE BAG IS FAIR The next piece is not random. All seven shapes are dealt out in a shuffled bag before any of them repeats, so you never sit through five S pieces in a row waiting for the long one. It is the difference between a hard game and an unfair one. The NEXT panel shows what is coming, so you can plan two pieces ahead instead of one. SCORING One line is 40 points, two is 100, three is 300, four at once is 1200 — all multiplied by your level. Clearing four rows in one drop at level twelve is worth more than forty single lines at level one. That is the whole game in one sentence. Best score, games played, total lines and best lines in a single game are all kept between sessions. THE GHOST An outline shows exactly where the piece will land before you commit. Leave it on while you learn the board and turn it off when you want the points to feel earned. CONTROLS Buttons or touchscreen, whichever your watch has, and the game works out which one you have. On a button watch: down moves left, back moves right, start turns the piece, up drops it faster and holding up drops it all the way. Hold back to pause. On a touchscreen: tap the left or right of the screen to move, tap the middle to turn, swipe down to drop. Hold your finger on the screen to pause. MADE FOR THE WATCH The board is drawn from your screen, not from a fixed grid, so a 218px fēnix and a 454px epix both get the biggest board their screen can hold Artwork drawn per screen size — nothing is stretched or squashed to fit On the 64-colour MIP watches the artwork is delivered pre-quantised, so the pieces are clean instead of dithered Black background: on an AMOLED that is the part of the screen that costs nothing to light SETTINGS Starting level, one to ten Ghost piece on or off Vibration on or off Statistics you can reset NO NONSENSE No internet.
