About

Golf App designed to bring Golf Course GPS and Scorecard functionality to the latest watches in the Garmin FORERUNNER Series and other select devices (MARQ series, Approach Series, D2 Delta Series, vivoactive 3 & 4 Series). Track your scores, view scorecard, and store hole GPS information for up to 10 courses. No internet connection or data plan is needed to use. GolfGPS now also uploads data from your round to Garmin Connect to store scores and other statistics from the round for historical tracking. App also includes a score only mode, which disables the GPS feature, but still tracks score, distance traveled, and round duration. INSTRUCTIONS: To ADD a new course, select "Add New Course". As you keep your score, the watch manually saves the GPS position when you are on the green (hit "START/STOP" and follow the prompt instructions to confirm position). Once GPS data is saved, play course again and again with accurate distance to hole measurements displayed in real time. You can confirm GPS settings and also set the PAR for each hole from the COURSE DATA menu option. You can also add a course via GARMIN EXPRESS Settings Menu. Format for each hole is: Latitude,Longitude (NO SPACES) in Decimal Degrees. You can generate these points via dropping a pin on the hole (center of green) via GoogleMaps. You must be sure to choose the decimal degrees value and remove any spaces (ex. 56.346252,-2.812149). Also see the sample GoogleMaps image below. If you format the values wrong, the App will ignore them and distances won't be displayed during play. At this time, the App's Garmin Express settings will only let you add one course at a time. To load the course into the watch's memory, you have to EXIT Garmin Express and launch the App on the watch. Once a course is added, it's there until you delete from within the App. (Be sure to also delete from GARMIN EXPRESS Settings if you do not want it to reload next time.) From the main menu you can also choose to DELETE a course, play a "SCORE ONLY" round (No GPS), VIEW round statistics, or VIEW Course Data (and add/adjust Par settings). During COURSE PLAY - For non-touch screen models, record and adjust strokes per hole using the Up/Down arrow buttons, and hit the START/STOP button to record strokes and advance to next hole. Hit the BACK button to return to a previous hole to view or make edits. For touch screen watches a +/- button will appear to adjust strokes, and an "SC" button appears to view the SCORECARD. For models that cannot support an "SC" or menu button, the App displays your scorecard at the turn (between 9th & 10th hole) and after the 18th hole. You EXIT the app's course mode from the SCORECARD view (at hole 9 or 18, or "Back" button at hole 1) and by. then following the on-screen instructions.
