Synchrono
· v0.4.1
About
Synchrono is a data field for group training when everyone needs the same timer.
Add it to an activity data screen, set the same Group ID on each watch,
and start the activity. When anyone presses lap, nearby watches running
Synchrono pick up the event and count from the same lap start time.
Uses peer-to-peer ANT broadcast on a private channel to share lap times across nearby watches in your group. No data leaves your group; no phone or internet required.
Every watch participates equally. There is no host to set up, and watches
automatically re-sync after moving out of range and back. Group IDs 1-15 help
keep separate groups from interfering when more than one group is training in
the same place.
Dots legend :
- Three dots : GNSS not yet locked in.
- Green dot : ANT is on.
- Blue dot : Broadcast is muted.
- Red dot : ANT is off.
What's new
0.4.0 : Added "Broadcast my laps" (on/off): mute a watch so its laps - including Auto Lap - don't restart the group timer, while it stays synced and keeps relaying. Fixes accidental Auto Lap resets and enables a leader-driven session. Muted watches show a blue indicator.
0.3.0 : Group ID can now be set from the Connect IQ phone app — handy for watches without on-device app settings. The on-watch settings menu still works exactly as before.
0.2.0 : Newer watches (System 8): the radio connection now opens once, when you start the activity — no more repeated 'open connection' prompts while setting up data screens or resuming. The connection ID is stable and visible as 'Radio ID' in the field settings.
