About

This data field displays the numerical value of w’bal and its evolution during last 3 minutes of activity. TTE (time to exhaustion) or TTR (time to recovery) are also shown. Using a power meter is required to evaluate w’bal. wbal represents the available Anaerobic Work Capacity and it is calculated according to integral or differential models proposed by Skiba et al. The user can select most suitable model. Differencial model assumes a higher Anaerobic Work Capacity spending and recovering ratio than that given by integral model. w’bal is shown as percentage of Anaerobic Work Capacity (w’). The maximum available Anaerobic Work Capacity (w') is spent when the athlete works at a power above critical power (CP) and it is recovered working below critical power (CP). If w'bal reaches 0, it denotes that no more work above critical power can be done till some amount of Anaerobic Work Capacity is recovered If during an activity/workout w'bal becomes negative or it is still high when the athlete is exhausted, CP and w' do not correspond to actual athlete condition and they must be updated: - w'bal negative: increase CP and/or w' - w'bal high at exhaust: decrease CP and/or w' The data field is configurable using Garmin Connect Mobile or Garmin Express in order to enter following parameters: - Critical Power (CP) - Anaerobic Work Capacity (w’) - Integral or differential model - Target for recovery Font and chart line color can be also configured as monochromatic or dependent on w’baa value. Option to export w’bal values to fit file can be enabled. This data field can be used free during first 5 days. To permanently unlock the data field, one time payment 7.45 USD (+VAT) is required. To purchase, go to www.kzl.io/code and enter the code displayed in the device screen. The license is associated to a single device and can not be transferred to other user or device.
