About

DPI - Dynamic Pace Intensity The DPI Datafield is based on the book "Daniels' Running Formula" by Jack Daniels. In the book Jack Daniels describes the Pace Intensity (PI) and the Heart Rate Intensity (HRI). The DPI Datafield combines the PI and the HRI to calculate the Dynamic Pace Intensity (DPI). DPI is a measure of the intensity of your run. DPI is based on your current VDOT value and your heart rate. The DPI Datafield can help you track your progress, stay on track with your training, and avoid overtraining. In the settings you need to enter your current VDOT value or you can also add your target VDOT, depending on how you would like to train, but be reasonable when you do. You can find your VDOT value by doing a VDOT test. You can find more information about the VDOT test here: https://runsmartproject.com/calculator/ Your maximum heart rate defined in your userprofile is used to calculate the heart rate intensities. The DPI datafield also writes the DPI, PI and HRI intensity of your run to the FIT file. You can see the intensity of your run in Garmin Connect. Get the DPI Datafield today and take your running to the next level!
