Markdown notes

View Markdown notes, tasks, and reminders on your Garmin watch. Sync from GitHub, sync from a self-hosted Flatnotes server, add up to 3 Quick Notes directly in Garmin Connect, or use Quick Notes together with one sync source. GitHub is the recommended source in v2.0. Point WristDown at a repository, branch, and folder, then sync .md files to the watch. If your GitHub token has write access, checkbox and task changes made on the watch can sync back to GitHub. WristDown supports essential Markdown like headers, lists, bold, italic, inline code, strikethrough, and tasks. Checkboxes are interactive, so you can tick things off right on your wrist. With GitHub notes, Obsidian-style task due dates and simple recurrence rules can appear in a Reminders view and trigger optional Garmin system notifications. Event tags can be used for birthdays, anniversaries, renewals, and appointments. Flatnotes is still supported for note sync. Checkbox sync-back with Flatnotes needs a specific reverse proxy setup (see documentation). Timed tasks and event reminders work only with GitHub. You can protect selected notes with a 3-5 digit PIN. Set the PIN in Garmin Connect, then use the note options menu on the watch. Some older watches get a reduced reminder build because of memory limits. Notes, sync, Markdown, and checkboxes still work, but the separate Reminders view and notifications are skipped. See documentation for details.
