CountdownWidget

The CountdownWidget shows the remaining time until a freely selectable deadline. If the deadline is more than one month in the future no seconds are displayed but months or years. So, if you have a closing date or your spaceship will return at a defined moment when you have finished your mission then now you can monitor the remaining time. Features: - Calculation and display of time and date differences by entering a deadline and by pressing „start“ or entering a manual start time. - Countdown or chronometer display. - Different formats like „Years Months Days“, „Hours“ or „Seconds (UTC)“. - Several presets like „Current year“ or „Unix time“. - Possibility to save up to 6 countdowns. Usage: - Standard menu button for settings menu. Some people seem to find it difficult to access the menu on Forerunner and vivoactive. It's the same button that is used for the standard settings menu (Fenix 3 / Forerunner 23x: Long press on up button, vivoactive: Long press on right button). - Devices with a touchscreen: Start/stop button to start or stop the countdown (or select "Manual start time" from settings menu). Tap on upper or lower part of the screen to load previously saved countdowns. - Devices without a touchscreen: Start/stop button to open a menu where you can start/stop the countdown or enable the „Scroll Mode“. In „Scroll Mode“ the up and down buttons cycle through your countdowns. The back button switches back to normal operation of cycling through your widgets. - In format "Years months days“ months are not calendar months but have a constant length of 30 days. - Enter a space character to clear a countdown name. - Saving a stopped countdown clears it. Remarks: - Currently it is not possible to enter a name for a countdown on Approach S60 and the Vivoactive range of watches due to technical reasons. - I’m getting „Out of memory error“ messages from the simulator for some functions on the following models and the widget is crashing: Approach S60, Fenix 5, Fenix 5S, Fenix Chronos, FR 645, FR 735XT, FR 935, Vivoactive 3 (music). I might have to remove the support for these devices in the future. - Changes to saved countdowns are lost in „Scroll Mode“ if not saved explicitly. - I really would appreciate an email if you run into problems before you write the review.
