It calculates climbing power from elevation changes, air friction from speed and wind, and wheel friction from speed and tire type. Momentum correction helps with sudden changes in terrain. **Q: What does the smoothing time setting affect?** **A:** The number of seconds sets how long data is considered for smoothing. For example, 3 seconds means the app averages power over the last 3 seconds, while 30 seconds smooths values over a longer period, making the display more stable but potentially less responsive to rapid changes. **Q: Can the app's power value be used as a Bluetooth power meter for the device?** **A:** When "display in Strava" is set, the power is shown as a native field. However, Garmin Connect IQ limitations mean this data might not integrate seamlessly with device features due to restrictions by Garmin.

You can enter your cycle weight, clothes and equipment weight. You do not have to set your body weight in the app parameters, but please make sure that it is properly set in the connect IQ profile. You can choose the number of seconds you want to acquire. Default acquisition is made over the 10 last seconds. A Virtual power graph will appear in your activity, you can decide whether you want it to be displayed as a Strava field. NB : wind correction Wind data is fetched from Garmin Connect during rides if your device is connected via Bluetooth and your smartphone has a 4G connection. Older devices like Fénix 5, edge 130 series, but not limited to, may crash when using the new wind correction feature.
