VGLA Lite PD Analysis
· v1.47
About
VGLA Lite PD Analysis is a Connect IQ data field for Edge 130/130 Plus that directly receives, displays, and records Power and Pedaling Dynamics from compatible ANT+ power meters using an app-specific method. The data is added to the FIT file in an app-specific area, not Garmin native fields, so it cannot be used for standard display or analysis without conversion.
The app also records virtual-shifting data. Using configured chainrings, sprockets, wheel circumference, Speed, and Cadence, it displays possible rear gears for both Inner and Outer chainrings. Because of Edge 130 memory limits, VGLA Analyzer determines the front/rear gear positions and shift history after the ride.
VGLA Analyzer can review the recorded data, create a rebuilt FIT that uses PD-DirectPower as Garmin standard Power, and generate prompts for AI-assisted analysis. Both the app and VGLA Analyzer are available free of charge.

[Trial and Purchase]
This app is free.
The free VGLA Analyzer is required for detailed post-ride analysis and for generating a rebuilt FIT that uses recorded Power as Garmin standard Power.
VGLA Analyzer is a separate web service provided free of charge.
[Data Handling]
Received Power, Pedaling Dynamics, and virtual-shifting gear candidates are added to the activity FIT file in an app-specific format.
VGLA Analyzer processes FIT loading, analysis, and rebuilt FIT generation locally in the browser. Original FIT files, ride data, results, and rebuilt FIT files are not uploaded to the VGLA server.
[Important Notes]
• This is a data field. Add it to a data screen in the activity profile you use.
• A compatible ANT+ power meter that transmits Pedaling Dynamics is required. Tested with Vector 3 and Assioma Pro.
• Pedaling Dynamics cannot be received if the meter does not transmit it.
• Compatibility with every power meter is not guaranteed; see the manual for tested models and current support.
• The app receives data directly using its own method. Disable the standard Power sensor pairing registered on the Edge before use.
• Leaving the standard Power sensor enabled may prevent correct reception.
• Because standard Power pairing is disabled, the Edge does not record native Power. Received Power is added to the FIT file only in the app-specific format.
• App-specific Power is not reflected directly in Garmin Connect Power displays or summaries. Use the free VGLA Analyzer to create a rebuilt FIT for standard Power.
• This app and PCH Alert Lite cannot be used in the same activity.
• The app cannot calibrate the power meter and does not change crank-length settings.
• Use another compatible cycling computer or the manufacturer’s app when calibration or crank-length setup is required.
• Virtual-shifting logs do not read gear position from the derailleur; they are calculated from Speed, Cadence, and the configured drivetrain.
• Configure the actual chainrings, sprockets, and wheel circumference for accurate analysis.
• On-screen gears are possible rear gears for Inner and Outer chainrings. Full front/rear gear positions and shift history are analyzed afterward in VGLA Analyzer.
• Because calculation is virtual, results may differ from actual gears or shift timing depending on riding conditions, reception, or settings.
• For power meters without Pedaling Dynamics transmission, use PCH Alert Lite together with VGLA Lite Slave.
