About

A completely free watch face for supported modern round Garmin Connect IQ devices. Built around a geometric mountain landscape, it puts the time, date, weekday, and weather in a clean, easy-to-read layout. Lunar date and solar terms can be enabled when you want a more Chinese calendar-oriented display. The watch face supports both Chinese and English interfaces. The top weather area can show combinations of temperature, high/low temperatures, feels-like temperature, conditions, wind, or precipitation. It gives you the most useful information at a glance before heading out or during a workout. Three data fields can be customized with steps, floors, calories, heart rate, battery, distance, stress, Body Battery, recovery, sunrise, sunset, elevation, pressure, blood oxygen, activity distance, and other supported data. The left and right progress arcs can be assigned to steps, running, cycling, Body Battery, and other goals, so daily progress is visible without opening another screen. Time, date, seconds, AM/PM, field text, field values, progress, sky, and all three mountain layers have independent color controls. MIP and AMOLED displays are tuned separately: MIP keeps the sky clean and stable, while AMOLED retains a refined gradient. Dedicated layouts keep the proportions clear across different round screen sizes. Weather information remains stable and easy to check throughout the day, while overall efficiency improvements help reduce power use for more comfortable long-term wear. This watch face is completely free to use. If you find a bug, please contact me.

What's new

1.3.2 Added a Sleep Score custom data field for devices running Connect IQ 6.0.2 or newer, including fēnix 8 and fēnix 9. Select it from the watch-face settings menu. 1.3.1 Fixed an issue where Body Battery and some sensor fields could disappear after a temporary read failure. Added a temperature-unit switch in both watch-face and phone settings. Choose Celsius or Fahrenheit; 1.3.0 Added six system vector time styles, refined time, date, and AM/PM layouts on F7/F8/F7S, simplified low-use custom fields, and improved GPS place-name and weather-cache display while retaining legacy-device compatibility. 1.2.9 Standardized all custom-field names and English short labels with clearer Garmin terminology, while retaining correctly displayed imperial elevation and weight fields. 1.2.8 Refined the mountain height and MIP/AMOLED sky rendering, added optional-field caching, and retained the last valid weather result to improve visual quality and efficiency. 1.2.7 Fixed an issue where a weather response with a null temperature could overwrite valid cached data. The last valid weather remains visible when weather data is unavailable and is restored after the watch face reloads. Added pure black and pure white to all 11 independent color controls, with continued display tuning for MIP and AMOLED screens. 1.2.4 Removed theme presets in favor of 11 fully independent color controls. Each color list now starts with the current default, with four brighter color pairs optimized separately for AMOLED and MIP displays. Changing one color or any unrelated setting no longer reapplies or resets the current palette. 1.2.1: Since version 1.0, colors and icons have been refined across MIP and AMOLED displays, and individual color settings now persist through refreshes and unrelated setting changes. Field and goal icons now use bundled open-source standard assets. The bottom battery display is now a phone-style live charge indicator with percentage or estimated battery-life text. 1.0: Initial release of Geometric Mountain MAX2 with weather pairs, adjustable date layout, three custom data fields, dual goal progress arcs, and MIP/AMOLED multi-size support.
