PBP Pacer – Paris-Brest-Paris Timer
· v1.0
About
PBP Pacer is a Connect IQ data field built specifically for Paris-Brest-Paris (PBP) — the legendary 1230 km Audax brevet from Rambouillet to Brest and back, held every four years by the Audax Club Parisien.
Unlike a generic brevet timer, PBP Pacer accounts for PBP's three official start-wave time limits:
• 80h – Sunday 16:00-16:45 (fastest solo wave)
• 90h – Sunday 17:00-21:15 (solo, tandems, women's wave)
• 84h – Monday 05:00-06:00 (all bikes)
Tap the field before starting to select your wave's time limit, then press Start — the choice locks automatically so it can't change by accident mid-ride.
HOW IT WORKS
Instead of comparing your instantaneous speed, PBP Pacer compares the fraction of the 1230 km you've covered against the fraction of your time limit used. This makes it robust through control stops, meals, and sleep breaks at Villaines, Fougères, Tinténiac, Loudéac, Brest, and every other control — a stop doesn't falsely flag you as behind. The countdown runs on real wall-clock time (it never pauses, even while your Edge auto-pauses), exactly matching how the ACP clock works.
DISPLAY
• Selected wave & time limit
• Time remaining, color-coded (green = on schedule, red = behind or over time)
• Status: ON TIME / BEHIND SCHEDULE / TIME LIMIT EXCEEDED / FINISHED
Built for PBP 2027 and beyond — pair it with BRM Pacer (same developer) for your qualifying 200/300/400/600 brevets.
