Weather Widget is presenting hourly and daily weather forecast provided by Tomorrow.io, open-meteo.com or OpenWeatherMap 3.0. I'm suggesting Tomorrow.io or openmeteo.com because of new payment model of OWM3 (even for free account credit card is mandatory), OWM3 is experimental (did not test because of this).
You can get the key by registering at data provider for tomorrow.io: https://app.tomorrow.io/signup?planid=60d46beae90c3b3549a59ff3 (free plan is sufficient to most cases) - the key you get in the end of the registartion process to be copied to app preferences in Garmin Connect IQ: select "my device" bottom right - "My Watchfaces" - "AK Weather" - "Settings", paste API key to appropriate field.
For first use, a 'fresh' GPS fix is necessray (e.g. start an activity until GPS fix is available, than open widget).
If you love OpenWeatherMap, request a key via https://home.openweathermap.org/users/sign_up and copy key via Garmin Connect.
Information for older devices like VA3 and F5: Please use Tomorrow.to only (if there is a message "Reduce hours" occurs with Tomorrow.io, you should reduce the hourly / daily range)
Color code:
- Amber line = Temperature (scale on left axis)
- Green line = Wind speed (scale max on top left)
- Blue/white line = Precipitation Chance/intensity (blue means rain, white means snow, ice pellets or freezing rain) (0 to 100% or mm/h)
- Purple line = Humidity (0 to 100%)
- Gray Dots = Wind Bearing (direction on right axis)
- Pink line = Pollen Index (0 to 100%), only available in hourly and Tomorrow.to
