Waymarch
· v1.0.2
About
The realm of Vael has gone dark, and its great roads — the waymarches — are unlit. Relight them the only way anyone can: by walking. Every real step you take marches your hero down 780 miles of haunted roads. Nothing in Waymarch can be earned at a desk: encounters, levels, and loot unlock at real mile marks, and opening the app more often earns you nothing.
When something blocks the road, the fight resolves the moment you open the app — and it contains a real decision. Strike, Feint, Cast, or Brace: each spends a different resource with its own economy (stamina from steady walking, tricks from places you stop, spell slots that recharge on rest days and trickle back per 4,000 steps). Read the enemy right and you win clean. Read it wrong and you bleed, lose supplies, and it keeps the road. Or swallow your pride and slip past — for a price.
Three classes with subclass forks, permanent either/or talents (one can be re-forged at each waystone — life changes over a months-long game), a perk tree with real tradeoffs, gear sets, and twelve biomes that each punish somebody’s build. No single answer works everywhere: the deepwood swallows spells, the barrows blunt steel, the frost stiffens clever fingers.
Finish the campaign and it echoes: a harder, remixed run that carries one heirloom and a permanent sigil forward. Built for months of real walking — a 3,000-step day and a 15,000-step day both always have something to chase.
Built for the wrist: no phone app, no account, no network, no background battery drain. Your save lives on the watch, survives reboots and updates, and steps can never be double-counted — the ledger reconciles against Garmin’s own daily step counts, once. Works on MIP and AMOLED, buttons or touch.
