This app assists you with the two fundamental questions of sailboat racing: "When to tack?" and "Which heading to steer?" plus an intuitive, accurate and customised countdown timer. We have distilled years of high-level yacht racing experience, software development and on-water testing to create a set of algorithms that analyse your boat's track and presents the results in a clear and intuitive user experience on your wrist. "When to tack" is dependent on your course, wind shifts and lay lines. "Which heading" is dependent on your course, mark location, wind and current. It was been analysed as a bug in F/W update 15.10 in mid December and we're awaiting a fix. Sorry about that. Vivoactive-3 users: There's currently a glitch in the Garmin release process that means you'll need to use Garmin Express on your computer to update the firmware on your watch to 7.2 . Fix to Start Timer Sync when you are more than 30 seconds late. Now, it correctly rounds down. Added some more Garmin devices. Check the updated manual for full details.
