Most weather apps show you data. RainPredictor tells you what's actually going to happen: "Rain now, 'til 5 PM." "Storm at 11 PM, low chance." "No rain tonight." One glance, one answer. THE GLANCE The glance shows a single plain-language headline about the thing you care about most — when rain starts, when it ends, and what comes after — plus a timeline bar spanning the current daylight or night period, from sunrise to sunset. Cloud cover appears as grey blocks, rain as blue, storms in red, snow in white, with a marker showing where you are right now. The whole day's story in one strip. A second line rotates between useful extras: how it feels outside versus today's peak or overnight low, tomorrow's temperature compared to today, and weekend rain chances on Friday evenings. THE WIDGET Open the widget for full conversational summaries across Today, Tonight, Tomorrow, and the Weekend: "Mostly cloudy this morning. Rain expected 5AM–9AM. High 25°C, low 15°C. Pack an umbrella. Fancy a run? 6AM–8AM looks best." Each card shows condition icons, a rain probability, and a natural-language summary that groups rain into time windows instead of dumping raw hourly numbers — with separate windows when showers come and go. You also get wind warnings, clothing hints, and a suggested two-hour running slot based on rain risk, temperature, and wind. SMARTER THAN THE RAW FORECAST Condition-first detection: when the forecast says rain, the app trusts it — even when the percentage looks low. Thunderstorm risk is always surfaced, whatever the number. Reality check: the current hour is verified against observed conditions, not just the forecast. Confidence in words, not decimals: "expected", "likely", "possible" — calibrated to the actual probabilities. Night-owl aware: after midnight, "tomorrow" means the day you'll wake up to, labeled by weekday name so there's never any doubt. Temperature comparisons stay anchored to the evening you're still living in. Weekend outlook: Saturday and Sunday conditions, rain chances, and how the weekend's temperatures compare to today. DETAILS Uses Garmin's built-in weather service — no account, no setup, no phone app required beyond a connected phone for weather sync. Muted, watch-friendly colors designed for quick reading without glare. Temperatures and wind follow your device's unit settings (°C/°F, km/h/mph). Requires a device with Connect IQ weather support and a recent weather sync from your phone. If no weather data is available, the app will tell you rather than guess. No ads, no tracking, no subscription. Just an honest answer to the only question that matters: do I need an umbrella?
