Watch the time grow. On BAMBOO, every digit of the clock is a living bamboo culm. A pale shoot pushes out of the ground at the foot of the number and the cane climbs, node rings forming behind the tip and leaves unfurling at the joints, until the stalk has become the digit. Then it rests, breathing gently, until the minute turns. When it does, the old culm dies back the way real bamboo does — it dries from green through gold to brown, its tip retracting toward the root, shedding leaves that tumble away — while the new shoot grows up through it. Nothing jumps, nothing flips. The time changes the way a plant changes. Choose the grove you want to live in: five backgrounds, from a soft painted grove to a deep forest, a warm zen garden, a misty river and a dark bamboo deck. Then pick your cane: seven colourways from fresh Spring Green through Golden Bamboo, Black Bamboo, Jade, Red Bamboo and Dry Straw, plus a Grove mix where every digit is a different species. Change any of it right on your wrist or from the Garmin Connect app. The date sits quietly up top in a bamboo-cane typeface, with battery and daily steps along the bottom and an optional small digital readout underneath — glance information, nothing more. BAMBOO runs on both bright AMOLED and classic MIP Garmin watches. On always-on AMOLED displays it drops to a clean, dim, burn-in-safe skeleton of the culms, so it is kind to your screen and your battery.
