cCadence
· v1.0.002
About
This data field calculates the cadence based on speed, gear setting of an electronic shifting such as Shimano DI2 and wheel size.
The accuracy is highly dependent on the correct wheelsize that can be changed in the data field settings via the connect iq app.
The data field can also write the cadence values in the fit file – this can be activated within the settings
The field shows the current calculated cadence and an arrow if the current cadence is above or below the activity average.
For Touch Screen only: Through a tab on the data field the average cadence will be displayed for 5 seconds.
The calculated cadence field cannot identify if a cyclist is rolling down a mountain without pedaling. As a result: when rolling downhill quite high cadences can be shown – within the settings a max cadence limit can be entered. If a cadence above the limit is calculated it is assumed that this is not reached by pedaling and the value is not shown.
In case a oneby setup is used and the Garmin does not provide information about the chain ring the size of the front chain ring can be configured in the settings. – as I do not have a oneby setup I have to admit that I do not know which data will be provided by the Garmin
