Every Split Pacer
· v1.0.8
About
This is a data field for the Forerunner 920XT and the Vivoactive that gives you realtime progress information against a recorded run on the same track. It does this by comparing your progress in the current km or mile against your performance in that split last time. You get a projected finish time too.
You use Garmin Express to configure the field with the data from a previous run. This allows you to enter the total run distance, and the split time (for each kilometer or mile) that you want to compete against.
As you run you will see:
* Current pace (top left)
* Current pace in this split (top right)
* Recorded pace for this split (bottom left)
* Elapsed run distance (middle right)
* Projected finish time relative to recorded splits (bottom right)
The "Current pace in this split" and the "Recorded pace for the split" fields will show a green background if you are running faster in this split than your recorded split pace, and will show an orange background if you are running slower.
The "Projected finish time" field shows a green background if you look like you will finish faster than the recorded time, and an orange background if you are projected to be slower.
There's also two easy to read coloured bars in the middle of the screen showing:
Blue: Distance through run. When it reaches all the way across the screen you are at the finish distance.
Pink: Distance through split. Again when it reaches all the way across the screen you have completed this split.
There are two markers in the middle of the screen showing when the bars reach 25% and 50% complete.
The splits that you enter are used as per kilometer or per mile splits depending on how your watch is configured. If your watch uses miles, the splits are in miles. If you use Strava both km and mile splits are available when you view your activities.
HOW TO USE:
Watch the video on how to configure the splits. Once the splits are configured then on your watch choose a running sport, press menu and set the screen to show one data field, then set that datafield to Pacer.
