Is your usual riding position really the fastest?
Aero Track Checker analyzes aerodynamic drag in real time while riding and visualizes the aerodynamic efficiency of your posture right on your data field. Test and pursue the effect of your hood angle or riding in the drops on your regular training route without needing a wind tunnel.
[A/B Testing Mode]
Easily compare the aerodynamic performance of two riding positions or equipment setups simply by pressing the lap button.
Pressing the lap button initiates a 10-second preparation followed by a 90-second measurement. Change your posture and repeat the process, and the app directly displays results such as "B saves X watts over A". Measuring on the same day and course cancels out weather and road surface variables, providing highly reliable relative comparison.
[Garmin Connect Data Logging]
Estimated aerodynamic drag coefficient (CdA) and watt difference from baseline (DeltaW) during your ride are automatically recorded to FIT files.
After your ride, review second-by-second graph trends and overall ride averages (AvgCdA / AvgDeltaW) in Garmin Connect.
[Key Features - Real-Time Aero Analysis]
1) Dynamic Aero Classification
Analyzes your posture in real time to automatically determine 5 stages (SUPER AERO STYLE, Flagship Class, Aero Road Class, City Bike Class, Stopped). Screen colors change, and it also displays how many seconds you have maintained the current class.
2) Real-Time Performance Measurement
Compares your current posture against the baseline posture (Aero Road Class) in 1W increments, displaying saved watts (e.g., +15W Saved) or lost watts (e.g., -10W Loss).
3) Relative Wind Compass
Combines weather data and your heading to visually display wind exit direction (front, rear, left, right) at the bottom of the screen.
[Operation Modes - Auto Switching by Equipment]
1) With Power Meter Mode
Calculates CdA during steady riding from measured power, speed, and wind speed. Works even without a cadence sensor (power meter only).
2) Without Power Meter Mode
Estimates total riding resistance (Drag Watts), including air resistance and climbing resistance, based on physics formulas using airspeed and speed.
[Accuracy and Testing Conditions]
Since this app is based on a physical estimation model, absolute CdA values are reference values. We recommend using relative comparison via A/B Testing Mode under identical conditions.
To complete an A/B test, you must maintain power over 50W, speed over 20km/h, and steady velocity (low acceleration/deceleration) for at least 45 seconds out of the 90-second window. Tests may not complete in sections with traffic lights or steep gradient changes, so please test on flat and clear courses.
Note: Laps pressed during A/B testing are also recorded as activity laps.

Pairing a power meter is recommended to improve the measurement accuracy of CdA and saved watts.
