Retro EvoPet Evolution

The EvoPet Watch Face, is a work in progress. It’s a retro throw back to the Digital Pet days of the 90’s. An Era that some of us will remember well. The Evo watch face displays a retro like back ground. A simple 2d Star field with a single planet in the lower portion of the watch face. In the upper portion of the screen is a simple digital clock, painted in a wireframe format. The color of which, can be selected from the apps single setting for static color. Below the time, is a single line of stats in a pipe delimited format. Steps/Step Goal, Current Streak (Best Streak), and level are displayed. Finally, the Evo character floats around background in various forms. The goal of this watch face , is to have a little fun hitting your step goal each day. If you hit your step goal for the day , then the EVO pet will evolve into a new form. Once the EVO changes form, past the base form (level 0), it will devolve to the previous form is you don’t hit your step goal on a given day. How many days in a row, you hit your goal is recorded. Your best streak is also stored. The level of the Evo character also updates during each evolve or devolve event. Devolve events occur the morning after, evolve events occur just about instantly. The current version of this app (V0.1) only has 4 levels. But if you keep hitting your step goal after level 4, your streak/ best streak will still increase. To add a little more difficulty. If your EVO pet devolves, the steak is reset to zero. In order to get back to evolved form again, you must get your steak value back to what it was prior to the devolve event. There will be more levels/forms coming in future updates. Also there will be “Pro” version coming of this app too. Which will over different game/difficulty modes. There will also be additionally characters in the Pro version of the watch face. What that being said, I will also be making cool updates to the free version as well continuously. Updates will also include more device compatibility. Any way please feel free to leave a review if you download. If you encounter an error, please leaves details of the error. Please also pay attention to the compatible devices list, I’ve simulated on a them and they should work. I also tested on my device. Which brings me to a final note. Please remember MIP and AMOLED displays will look different, as they do with all watch faces. Especially with color vibrance and resolution. Keep that in mind when downloading. I personally use a MIP device, and overall the watch face looks decent, but it will look best on AMOLED. But again this is supposed to have retro look anyway. Enjoy!

V0.2.1 Update: - Fixed a condition where the EVO character doesn't devolve, if user misses stepgoal from the previous day. The issue. only occured when someone stopped using the watch face for a 1 day or less . To be fair, only the current day and previous day are taken into account. If you stop using the watch face and come back to it, say days later, it will only compare the current day and previous day. It will not cause your character to devolve multiple times between for 2+days you were not using the watch face and missed a step goal. V0.2 Update: Made number change to format the steps/ step goal to reduce the amount of space they take up. This will make adding other data elements to the screen easier in the next update. V0.1.2 - Edge Logic Fix. v0.1.1 - Fixed persistent data issue which caused pre-mature evolution. v0.1 - Initial release of the EVO Pet Watch Face - Retro style characteristics - Track your steps in enjoyable and humorous manner and try and get your EVO pet to evolve. - EVO has 4 forms in this version of the app. -Try and beat your best step goal streak. -App uses persistent storage to keep track of your steak and level. Thus even in a situation of power loss or you change to a new watch face. The stats will be restored when you come back to the EVO watch face. -Digital Time, Steps, Step goal data elements are displayed. As well streak, best streak and Evo level. -Time and date elements have custom color options via a setting IQ settings.
