Manage your Vikunja tasks from your Garmin watch: check, complete, snooze — no phone needed. Vikunja Tasks brings your self-hosted Vikunja task manager to your wrist. Check what's on your plate, mark items done, snooze due dates, change priorities, and stay on top of your day — straight from your Garmin watch, without pulling out your phone. Features - Full task list with due dates, priorities and project name. - Task detail: status, due date, priority, project and description in a single view. - Task description loaded on demand, with an optional offline cache. - Group tasks by project (hierarchical, with sub-projects), due date, or priority. - Quick filters from the home menu: - My tasks — show only tasks assigned to you. - High priority — show only tasks with priority ≥ 3. - Quick actions on any task: - Mark as done - Snooze to today, +1 day, +1 week, or clear the due date - Change priority (None → Do now) - "Today + overdue" shortcut for a focused, actionable view. - Home stats: tasks completed and current streak. - Glance tile: open task count with today/overdue breakdown and streak, visible right from your watch face. - Offline resilience: last synced tasks stay available without a phone connection, including per-project browsing; actions made offline (mark done, snooze, priority) are queued and automatically replayed on reconnect. Setup 1. Install the app on your watch. 2. Open the Garmin Connect Mobile app → this device → Apps → Vikunja Tasks → Settings. 3. Enter: - Vikunja Server URL — for example `https://vikunja.example.com` - Vikunja API Token — generate one from your Vikunja account settings - Max tasks fetched — how many open tasks to sync (default 25) - Auto-exit after (s) — idle timeout before the app closes itself, in seconds. `0` disables auto-exit (default). - Offline descriptions — enable local caching of task descriptions so they can be read without a phone (off by default to save memory). 4. Launch the app on the watch; it will fetch your open tasks. Requirements - A Vikunja server reachable from your phone (self-hosted or hosted). - A Vikunja API token from your account settings. - The Garmin Connect Mobile app paired with the watch (used to reach your server). Privacy The app talks directly to the Vikunja server URL you configure. No data is sent to any third-party service. Your API token is stored locally on your device.
