About

FIND A BUG OR HAVE A SUGGESTION? EMAIL [email protected] A pixel-art companion you raise on your Garmin watch. Hatch an egg, care for it through four life stages, and try to keep it alive. Death is permanent. No hospitals, no rescues. Every pet you raise is unique, and every loss is real. NO TWO WATCHKINS ARE ALIKE Each generation rolls a fresh genome: the random recipe that decides your pet's species, head shape, body proportions, markings, and color palette. Six archetypes — Chibi, Kitten, Bunny, Slime, Birb, and Fox — each with their own silhouettes, accents, and hand-designed marking templates. With hundreds of thousands of possible combinations across the genome, no two Watchkins will be the same. FOUR LIFE STAGES Baby, adolescent, adult, senior. Needs shift as your pet ages, and a senior visibly slows. Three ways to lose them: untreated sickness, sustained neglect, or natural old age. When a Watchkin dies, you bury this generation, hatch a new egg, and meet a different creature. Your currency, pantry, and equipment carry over. Only the pet is mortal. A PET THAT SHARES YOUR DAY Watchkin reads your Garmin sleep tracking and pauses during recorded workouts, so the hours that drive your pet's hunger and happiness are the hours you're actually awake. Care is the core loop: feed, play, clean, and medicate when your pet gets sick. A short guided walkthrough on your first hatch teaches the loop so you are not learning under pressure. Optional watch notifications can alert you when your pet is sick or hungry — each toggled on or off in Settings, and kept quiet while you sleep or work out. SEVEN MINI-GAMES Play with your pet through seven skill-based games, each tuned for the wrist: • Sky Hop — single-tap dodge through procedural clouds, under a sky that tracks your watch's clock. • Heart Rush — Simon-says memory as DDR-style dance choreography. Buttons or touch. • Tug War — a timing-meter tug-of-war. Tap as the cursor crosses the green. Patience beats mashing. • Peek-a-Boo — a 3-cup shell game that shuffles faster every round. One wrong guess ends the run. • Stack Up — time your tap to drop each sliding block. Misjudge it and the overhang is shaved away. • Treat Math — quick sums against a fixed 20-second clock. Three answers, one right — score as many as you can. • Bounce Up — your pet bounces on its own; steer onto springs and moving ledges as you climb. Wins award Happiness and Gotchi Points, the in-game currency. DAILY QUESTS Three new quests roll every midnight. The daily fitness quest asks you to hit your Garmin step goal. Care quests reward feeding, cleaning, and using premium foods. Mini-game quests set per-game score thresholds. Each pays out on claim, and any quest you finished but forgot to claim auto-claims at the next roll so you never lose credit. ACHIEVEMENTS Eighteen lifetime milestones — raising a senior, reaching new generations, mini-game high scores, total care — each unlock once and grant a reward: a consumable, or one of nine cosmetics earned only here, never sold. They carry across every death. Claim from the TROPHIES menu with a tap. THE SHOP The shop rotates daily across four categories. • Foods stock your pantry. Tiered hunger gains, multi-hour fullness buffs, and the priciest meals grant poop-skip charges. • Toys equip as held companions and passively slow your pet's happiness decay (25%, 50%, or 75% slower depending on price tier). • Accessories layer onto head, face, and neck slots, tracking the pet through every animation and repositioning per life stage. • Special items: medicines, cure-alls, mood boosters, vitality tonics that add about 5 days of life, a time gear that reverts one stage, passive-buff jewelry, and full-screen backgrounds. The basic Medicine is always pinned in stock so a sick pet always has a path to a cure.

What's new

# Watchkin v1.9.0 — Released 2026-08-24 ## New - Name your Watchkin. Every newly hatched pet offers you the chance to name it — spell it out letter by letter, or leave it blank to stay a Watchkin. Tap a letter to jump to it, tap the arrows to change it, or hold an arrow to run through them. The name shows up in the Stats menu and on the memorial, and you can change it any time from Settings. Pets you are already raising stay unnamed; you will be offered a name for your next one. - New mini-game: Treat Math. Solve as many quick sums as you can before a fixed 20-second clock runs out, picking from three answers each round on a classroom chalkboard scene. Problems get harder as your score climbs. - New mini-game: Bounce Up. Your pet bounces on its own and you tap left or right to hop it between three lanes and land the next platform. Hit a spring for a big launch and watch for ledges that slide. Climb as high as you can before you fall. - Two new achievements: master Treat Math (30 right in one run) and Bounce Up (reach height 150) to earn a graduation cap and a pair of angel wings that spread out behind your pet. ## Fixes - Tapping a button now does what you tapped. If a different button was highlighted from using the physical buttons, the screen tap used to run the highlighted one instead — on the main dock and in every menu. - The food list now shows which food you have selected when your pet is full. Scrolling with the buttons used to leave no visible cursor at all. - Hats now sit properly on your pet. Ears tuck away under a hat instead of poking out through its sides. - The memorial screen now shows a proper resting face. It had been wearing the same queasy expression as a pet that is sick but still alive. - A pet that dies young is now remembered as it was. The memorial used to show a grown-up version of a Watchkin that never got the chance. ## Other - Background items now preview themselves: opening one in the shop or your bag paints its scene across the whole page instead of describing it. - Item description pages now fill the screen like food ones do — bigger text for what an item is and what it does, on medicine, cures, toys, accessories and backgrounds alike. - The medicate list now opens a medicine's description first, with a USE button, the same way your bag does — no more curing on a single tap. - The clean button now greys out when there is nothing to clean up, and tapping it anyway says so across the top of the screen. - Offering medicine or a Cure All to a healthy pet now plays out like offering food it doesn't want: the item floats up beside your pet, it shakes its head, and a "NOT SICK" message explains why. Works from the medicate list or straight out of your bag, and neither one is used up. - When your pet turns down food because it is full, a "NOT HUNGRY" message now explains the head shake. - The mini-games list now scrolls, so more games fit without crowding the screen. - The two alert switches in Settings now read "Sick Notification" and "Hungry Notification", so it is clear what they turn on and off. - Named your pet? Sick/hungry alerts, the memorial screen, and a couple of quest names now call it by name. Pets you have not named yet still read "your pet."
