About

Every watch face tells you what you have done. This one tells you what you are waiting for. ONE NUMBER, AND IT IS YOURS The biggest thing on the dial is the number of days between today and a date you choose. A race, a departure, a birthday, the day the boxes leave. Under it sits your own word for it. The time is still there, in grey, above; on this face it is not the headline. IT DROPS BY ONE EVERY NIGHT Which makes it the one thing on your wrist worth looking at first thing in the morning. Six weeks out it reads forty two. The morning of, it reads zero and says TODAY. AND THEN IT KEEPS GOING The day after, it counts the other way: one day since. You never have to go back and clear a setting that has expired. TYPE A DATE, TYPE A WORD Two settings and you are done. The date is written year, month, day. The word is up to fourteen letters and the face fits it to your screen for you: it closes the letter spacing, then steps down a size, and only cuts as a last resort. SEMI-MARATHON is never cut. The number does the same, so a date three years out is still readable. TWO FIELDS AT THE BOTTOM Steps, heart rate, distance, calories, battery in percent or in days, floors climbed, the date, or nothing at all. When your watch has nothing to give, a field shows a dot rather than a zero: a zero reads like a measurement, and a field stuck at zero looks like a fault in the face when it is only the watch being honest. BUILT FOR AN OLED SCREEN The background is true black, so those pixels are switched off rather than merely dark. In always on mode the face drops to the time and the count, and shifts a few pixels every minute on a forty nine minute cycle so no pixel is lit far more often than its neighbour. NO PERMISSIONS None. The face asks nothing of your watch and nothing of your phone. FOUR COLOURS Rose, amber, cyan or green. The number takes the colour and everything else stays white and grey, which is what keeps it readable at arm's length. TELL ME WHAT YOU WOULD CHANGE I read every review and I reply. If something bothers you, a colour, a proportion, an option you wish existed, say so and I will look at it.
