Datafield for displaying various Elevation Data For 1/2 width fields you have 5 fields that roll every "x" seconds. Each fields display time can be controlled by the settings in Garmin Connect. Field 1 - Elevation Field 2 - Total Ascent for the activity Field 3 - Total Descent for the activity Field 4 - Ascent minus Descent Field 5 - Heading ( Direction of travel Full Width Field Field 1 - Elevation Field 2 - Total Ascent for the activity Field 3 - Total Descent for the activity Field 4 - Ascent minus Descent Field 5 - Heading ( Direction of travel Field 6 - Course Ascent ( entered through Garmin Connect settings and zeroed out after each activity ) Field 7 - Course Descent ( entered through Garmin Connect settings and zeroed out after each activity ) Field 8 - Ascent Remaining ( Course Ascent minus Total Ascent ) Field 9 - Descent Remaining Course Descent minus Total Ascent ) These fields can be selected in any order to be displayed in each of the three panes ( with 3 fields in each pane ) that roll based on your timer values. All of these settings are in Garmin Connect under settings for your device. You can also force the advancement of the rolling of the fields by tapping the screen during an activity. My personal values are set to 3600 seconds delay and I use the screen tap to advance to the next screen. You can find the values for Course ascent and descent by looking at your course in Ridewithgps, Strava, your favorite course app or by looking at summary on your garmin for the course. Garmin does not give developers access to the course details or the Ascent/Descent remaining fields.
