MoguWind shows the wind in real time on your Garmin screen, kilometre by kilometre, and after the ride it proves how much it held you back. Add it as a data field on any screen, on its own or next to your other data. It turns the wind into one more number you train with, like power or heart rate. THE ARROW A large arrow points where the wind is going: straight up means a tailwind pushing you along. It changes colour with the situation: green tailwind, red headwind, amber crosswind. Using your GPS heading, MoguWind works out exactly how the wind hits you, anywhere in the world. Clean screen, eyes on the road. ON SCREEN - Arrow: where the wind is going, relative to your heading. No external apps, no subscription. 5 graphs: wind speed, headwind/tailwind, crosswind, wind direction, airspeed. 8 summary metrics: avg wind, avg and max headwind, max tailwind, % headwind/tailwind/crosswind, and Wind Balance from -100 (all against you) to +100 (all in your favour), near zero on a loop. Finally understand why the same power gives you different speeds, and know whether you were slow or the wind was just awful. VERSION 2.6 -- POST-RIDE WIND ANALYSIS IN GARMIN CONNECT When the phone disconnects, previous data stays visible for up to 4 hours instead of disappearing after 10 minutes. Battery optimization The waiting screen now shows Last update Xh ago when previous data was fetched at some point. Fixed a label overlap bug on Edge 1030 Plus, 1040 and similar devices with 8 or more fields. Narrow slots now show only the arrow, avoiding overlapping CROSS, NE and H/T labels. Added a new FIT Recording option with Complete, Essential and Disabled modes, so MoguWind can be combined with other CIQ fields that also write FIT streams without hitting the 16 stream limit. The Spanish language setting now overrides the device locale for FIT field names, addressing review number 6. Improved arrow stability when stopped. Below 1 m/s, GPS track is no longer used because it is too noisy, so the app falls back to compass direction. Improved compact layout on small screens such as Edge 530 and Explore 2. User configured data fields now appear when set. Your ride data now tells the full wind story. MoguWind 2.1 records every second of wind data into your FIT file. After your ride, open Garmin Connect and everything is there -- no export, no third-party app, no extra steps.
