SpeedZone – The Smart Speed Limit DataField for Garmin SpeedZone is a real-time DataField for your Garmin watch that keeps you fully aware of the legal speed limit wherever you are – whether you're running, cycling, e-biking, or riding a scooter. Using live GPS and a dedicated zone server, SpeedZone instantly detects the speed limit for your current location, shows the applicable road/zone name (if available), and monitors your live speed versus the limit. Additional information & tips: • GPS lock is required before the first zone will be detected. • In dense urban areas, the displayed speed limit might occasionally belong to a neighboring road due to GPS or map limitations (see OpenStreetMap data accuracy). • Blank screen for a few seconds? The app is fetching nearby speed limits – wait for GPS and server sync. • DataField settings (such as unit, alerts, etc.) are only applied after you synchronize your watch with Garmin Connect AND restart the activity.
