My Day Advanced
· vv3.2.9
About
Are you tired to scroll through the basic Garmin widgets? Then "My Day Advanced" (MDA) may be for you. It combines several Garmin widgets: My Day, Steps, Floors, Intensity minutes and Calories burned.
The design is inspired by the garmin widgets. Nevertheless, there are some restrictions as well as some enhancements.
Restrictions:
- Latest activity on the My Day page. Developers have very limited access to the latest sport. Therefore this field is omitted at all.
Enhancements:
- There is no need to scroll the MDA view but everything is shown on one page
- The main view shows the progress of the goals
- The history on the detailed pages of e. g. steps shows not 7 days but 8 days
- The history of the detailed pages shows a grid for better readability
- A calories goal is calculated out of the last 7 days calories burned
How to use:
Once installed you can press Enter if you see the MDA main view. From there you can cycle through your well known widgets with up/down buttons (Steps, Floors, Intensity Minutes and Calories burned). From each widget you can also show even more detailed views by pressing Enter again. Some detailed views have (like the Garmin widgets) even more screens to cycle through. Get back from anywhere with the Back key.
Known Bugs: none. To report a bug please contact me by using the contact developer button.
Everyone can use my widget and use the basic garmin features. Nevertheless, I have implemented some extra features which can only be used by supporters. Supporters are people who help the development or supports development via spending me a beer for all the extra hours going into this peace of software. You can spend using this link: https://bit.ly/2HDCgzD
Extra features:
- Using the extra features you have to put in a pin in the widget's settings. A how to edit settings: http://goo.gl/W7dGaV
- Spider Summary view: You can enable a summary view which shows a summary of the last 7 days (steps, calories, intensity minutes and floors climbed) in a spider view manner. 12 o clock represents today, the yesterday's values can be read on 1:30 o clock and so on.
- Segment Summary View: the most left bar in each segment represents today
- Intelligent intensity minutes goal on the today's view. Typically garmin shows the weekly goal and you get a checkmark if the weekly goal is reached. This setting divides the goal through 7 and multiplies it with the weekday. Example: weekly goal: 210 minutes. On monday you have to reach 30 minutes, on tuesday the goal is set to 60, on wednesday to 90 and so on. If you have 90 intensity minutes already on monday you will get a checkmark on tuesday and wednesday as well.
- From the summary view one can review the maxima of the last 8 days (incl today) by pressing the enter button.
- From the maxima page one can review the averages of the last 8 days (incl today) or the last 7 days (excl. today) depending on your settings by pressing up/down
- In the detailed steps, cal and distance views you can optional show the average of either the last 7 days or the last 7 days inclusive today
- User can select which widget is shown first
- User can show optionally some weekdays on the grid of the summary view for better readability
- The Maxima page shows at which day the certain maxima happened
- User can cycle from the summary detailed page through all detailed pages (thanks to capinoha for the idea)
- Swap step and distance color
- set percentage or the goal on the main page instead of pie diagram
- show opt. both: daily and weekly int. min.
- show opt. desc. floores
- show opt. distance
- show detailed todays calories partition on the calories view as well as active calories goal and on the detailed calories view
- animation tweaking (watches with more memory)
