About
If Nordlys brings you small daily satisfaction, a tip is appreciated — https://buymeacoffee.com/nordlys.
Inspired by Bauhaus, Arne Jacobsen, and Junghans Max Bill — every element earns its place. Equal-weight markers at 12, 3, 6 and 9; small dots elsewhere. A pencil-thin minute hand that creeps smoothly between ticks. A sweeping second hand in your chosen accent color.
The pure-black background sits crisp on AMOLED displays and reads as deep, calm contrast on MIP. In always-on mode the face dims gracefully; on AMOLED watches it also shifts pixels each minute to prevent burn-in.
Customizations:
• Style — Sweeping seconds, Ticking seconds, or No seconds
• Accent color — 19 curated muted tones, from Rust to Dusty Lavender, Mauve Pink to Sage
• Two complication slots — left and right of center, each with 7 options (date, weekday, body battery, heart rate, steps, sunset, battery) or hide them
On Fenix 8, Fenix E, Forerunner 970, Venu 4 and other recent watches: customize directly on the wrist via Garmin's native menu. Long-press the screen to open Garmin's native Customize menu and adjust. Save up to four configurations on the watch.
On earlier devices (FR 965, Venu 3, Fenix 7, Epix Pro Gen 2, and similar): change style, accent color, and complications from Garmin Connect on your phone — IQ Apps → Nordlys → Settings.
If you've been searching for an analog face that doesn't shout — this is it.
What's new
New: Notifications data field
You can now show your notification count in either dial slot, alongside a small bell icon. Pick it the same way as Battery, Steps or Heart rate — on Fenix 8 and newer via the on-watch Customize menu, or in the Connect IQ app settings on other watches.
